Do they have functional pockets?

The size chart puts me in a 2, but I usually wear an 8 or maybe a 6 (waist 28 in). Why is it so different? should I get a 6?

I usually wear an 8 in other brands. My hips are 35.5. So the size 4 would be too big for me???

I'm 5'5, 125 lbs. I usually wear a 4. But should I get long or regular?
