great pounder for all types of post . we use in a fence company and has done well and keeps going . the start part sucks need to warm up longer then most but once does hits hard and fast .

This performs exactly as the reviews said it did.It is saying us hours of back breaking labor setting poles for our dock system.

I build marine docks and I have to drive 4 inch square wooden posts NINE FEET into the lake bed, yes NINE feet. I used to pound them manually with a post pounder but thought I would try to ram them mechanically; this rammer is one of the more expensive on the market but it has lots of power and pounds those posts well into the lake; it doesn't quite get them in nine feet but nearly, that is impressive. It rams 2" steel round poles effortlessly, no hesitation whatsoever. It is reasonably light which is important as I have to climb a ladder with it to reach the top of the post I am ramming. It is worth spending a little extra to get this model, it is very well built and does the job.
