Great book~Magnitude of knowledge!!
This book is wonderful and full of knowledge. I have been suffering from Chrons for the last 4 years and not one doctor was able to offer even a quarter of what is in this book. Now, it is a big book and has a magnitude of Information which may be overwhelming for someone with ADD,but the more the better. It was worth the purchase. I’m not sure why anyone would rate this book low as I’ve been blessed and finally on my way to some healing and sharing this wealth of info with my family. Good luck, buy the book!

Extremely helpful
I had a very bad bout of diverticulitis and didn't have a doctor I trusted to tell me what to do and eat. This book was a godsend. There is a lot of information and Jini is a purist concerning things like microwaves and cellphones. But one can pick and choose what is good and helpful for oneself and boy oh boy did this book help me! I am so grateful I had this book.

This is the book to get for digestive problems
I've read so many useless books while trying to heal myself and tried so many useless things. But I suppose that's how I know a good book when I finally find one. Thank you!

Loved the book - very informative!
I learned a great deal of valuable information from this book. It gave me a clearer picture of the gut. How the gut works and what happens when it isn’t functioning correctly. This book also Includes suggestions for a better functioning gut.

Excellent book. The author is much more knowledgable than most doctors about the topics discussed. In fact the conditions covered in the are basically beyond most doctors today. Get this as a reference book for today and future reference also because this is just one more subject today's doctors cannot address.

Misleading book
The book came fast and in good shape. My negative review is about the content of the book. The author claims that she self-healed from Crohn's disease and says how other people to do it (which involves buying from her store). I reached page 80 (of ~460) and concluded it is a waste of money. First, she misleads the readers about her condition. On page 21 she says : “As far as I’m concerned, I no longer have Crohn’s Disease. […] But, the spectre of ‘disease’ and all its accoutrements (drugs, surgery, hospital visits, exploratory tests, etc.) is no longer part of my life”. But, on page 63: “For both blood and iron infusions, I’ve found it really helpful to prepare my body to receive the substance.” – So, she is “healed” from Crohn’s disease, but still uses iron and blood infusions. I don't know where she is living, but in my world, infusions require hospital visits.Next, she is incompetent. On page 27 she lists the causes of IBS/IBD: “[…], Monosodium Glutamate (MSG), […] all cause cellular and systematic damage.” On pages 70-71, she recommends L-glutamine if you have diarrhea: “It can be considered […] as a primary fuel, or energy source, for the entire immune system. It is essential for DNA synthesis, cell division and cell growth; which are all necessary for wound healing and tissue repair.” If she knew just a little bit of biochemistry, she would know that in the digestive tract MSG becomes L-glutamine (L-glutamine is an amino acid, MSG is its salt). The book is full of unsupported claims (such as the bad effects of MSG and the healing effects of L-glutamine). She lists vaccines as the first in the list of the causes of IBS/IBD, without any proof. (I imagine this is a strong 'buy' signal for some people.)Maybe in the future I will read more of the book and add more to the review.

Don't follow blindly, some things work some things don't
I'm an ulcerative colitis patient, and bought this book and read it thoroughly and started implementing many of the mentioned protocols *religiously*.I realized the element diet was not effective for me, nor was the natren probiotics. Both of them caused me abdominal pains which I didn't have before starting them.I did find use of Udo's oil and L-glutamine effective, and agree on the emotional healing and environmental changes concepts in her book. I did those and they helped in overall mental peace in me.In short note, not all of Jini's protocols are effective. Listen to your gut when following any protocol in her books. If you are like me with ulcerative colitis, be extremely careful as her methods were devised initially for Crohn's disease. For my experience, I am having slow but steady progress with David Klein's book 'Self Healing Crohn's and Colitis'
