CSET Social Science Exam Flashcard Study System: CSET Test Practice Questions & Review for the California Subject Examinations for Teachers (Cards)

I bought this to help guide my studying along with Mometrix's CSET Social Sciences study guide book. The flashcards are a word-for-word copy paste of the text in the study guide. The information is not consolidated in any way and the exact same topics are addressed as the study guide. Some flash cards had 300+ words written on the answer side.If you are studying for the CSET Social Science, I would advise you to only purchase one of Mometrix's products and to only expect the information to be a starting point. There was certainly a large amount of testable material that was missed in both the study guide and the flash cards. I ended up buying AP review textbooks, as well, for both World History and US History and worked through those.

I think that the Flashcard Study System for the CSETs in Social Science is very useful. My only criticism is that there is a relatively small quantity of World History cards, compared to huge number of US History cards and Principles of American Democracy cards. The US is only a few hundred years old compared to thousands of years of history in Europe, Africa and Asia. This inequity is definitely out of proportion.

I really appreciate the index card style, but this was missing crucial study material on the test. For example Subtest 2 is all American History and Geography, but there were no cards on the geography aspect of this subtest. It is definitely generalized, and not specific to the test. Either way, it is a good study material, but you will definitely need more than just this!

At a glance, the study material seemed like a lot. But once I got to studying, I very much appreciated all the background knowledge the flashcards supplied. If anything, my only negative feed back would be how tedious having to separate the cards from the packaging were, but aside that, I'm very much satisfied.

Great set of study cards. They helped a lot with preparation for the tests.

I love that it uses flashcards which have been proven to be the best way to "make it stick." I also like how the cards repeat important information by asking the questions more than once in more than one way.

Going to prepare for the CSET (Social Studies) and feeling extremely prepared to succeed with these thorough and complete materials.
