A good book to learn the aerodynamics.
There are lots of pictures and wide examples.

The book title tells it all
I just finished reading my copy of the book. Excellent job. This book could be more accurately titled "The Ecomodders Aerodynamic Bible". I have modified my truck for improved gas mileage. Some things worked, some did not. This book told my why some things did not work, and what I have to do make other things work better. The entire book is easily understandable by normal people. One does not need to be an engineer or scientist to understand it and use the information.I now know why my wheel covers did not affect the gas mileage. My air dam also did not affect the gas mileage. I now know how to find out why, and then what to do about it. Full disclosure: The old air dam was made of brittle plastic and was in several pieces held together with Gorilla tape. There should be room for drag reduction. My 100% grille block has never caused overheating, even on a long upgrade at 91 deg F with the AC running. I think I should look further into that also. There's room to further reduce drag, especially in winter.

Clear aerodynamic overview with emphasis on the latest under-car airflow technology.
I have been following the evolution of automobile aerodynamics as one of my hobbies for a very long time. I also followed author Edgar Julian's website regularly when he had it. I found his book to be very up-to-date on current domestic auto aerodynamic trends. These trends are now accelerating due to the critical importance of aero efficiency in EV design. This book covers basic technology, measurement and flow visualization techniques, examples of old as well as very latest designs, and it especially highlights the critical nature and characteristics of under-car airflow that is now influencing the very latest automobile designs and styling.

Exactly as the title implies.
The book is thorough yet very understandable. From testing methods to possible modifications, locations and fabrication, the book carries a lot of information.

Brilliant. Readable, useable, well-documented. No-nonsense science.
Far and away the best in its field. Most work in this field is either insultingly condescending or overly-focused, dry and useless. This book is the single best combination of science, math, instruction and personal experience that I have ever seen in any field. Not only is it useful, it is READABLE and fun (at least if you're interested in improving the performance of your car). I simply cannot recommend it highly enough. You can understand it if you've never had a physics class, you can take it and fly ahead with experimentation and testing if you are familiar with the concepts and just needed some guidance. The author actually used and describes how to make a height-sensing apparatus I had imagined (for measuring downforce), and gives PART NUMBERS and sources! I can't wait to get back to the track with some wool tufts and a photographer.

Watch the author's videos
Mr. Julian Egar makes this subject simple. I watched his videos and was completed to buy the book. I haven't had the time to read it yet, but I will get to it.
