Ignore Amazon Garage fitment info
Vista Cruise is one of the most practical and affordable throttle locks out there. Great way to free your throttle hand while riding a motorcycle. Activating the lever locks the throttle in whatever position you had it in, allowing you to relieve hand cramps or use your hand briefly for something else.Super-easy to install. You will probably need to adjust it a little at first; too loose and it will gradually lose its grip; too tight and the throttle won't snap back when you release it. I suggest keeping the key with you as you ride.I bought this for a 1984 Honda CB700SC (Nighthawk S) and had one on the same model bike some years ago. I used Amazon's bike compatibility feature, but it said this one would not fit my bike. I double-checked, went to the manufacturer's web site to confirm, and ordered it anyway. It was a perfect fit. So if you have a UJM with double throttle cables, this is probably the one you want. You can spend more for more elaborate contraptions, if that's your thing. For me the Vista Cruise is elegant, simple, and well-made.

Great for Road Trips
There comes a time in everyone's motorcycle life where you get tired of holding open your throttle on those long freeway trips. We've all been there, and that's why cars have cruise control. I've wondered about motorcycles not having that option, but there has been a recent trend for higher dollar motorcycles to have electronically controlled cruise control, much like cars. However, for those of us who don't want to shell out big bucks on a new toy, the Vista Cruise is a much cheaper and viable option. Its a very basic setup. Scoot your grip back a few millimeters (or just completely remove it), attach the Vista Cruise so the tab is between the throttle cables, and tighten. Adjust the tension of the device by loosening or tightening the screw. It takes some fidgeting and adjusting to get the throttle to snap back when released, yet hold when engaged, but that's some trial and error with the bike off. If it doesn't work when you are riding, just wait until you park to adjust it again. There is also a spacer that goes between the device and your grip to provide a smoother throttle turn.To operate, drive your bike like normal, then, when at a throttle position you are satisfied at, press the lock button and your throttle is held in place. You can easily override the system by turning your throttle, even with the Vista Cruise holding your throttle, or by releasing the lock by flicking your thumb up. Obviously, don't use in the rain or in traffic. I also made the mistake of starting my bike with the device locked, and when I went for the gas, the throttle stayed open. Otherwise, it is very safe and can easily be overridden.Highly recommend, and saves those cramped wrists on long rides.

NOT FOR CBR 600RR
Does not fit 09 cbr 600rr. Brake lines must be coming out the bottom of handle bar to work. Also fits too snug between grip and handle bar causing it to constantly be locked. Probably ment for a cruiser so buyer beware....

Read my review.
If the throttle tube has a thick perch, the holding part of this will not reach the piece to stop the whole item from rotating. I like the function of this item so I tied it off with zip ties to make it work but it is sloppy.

Great value, SIMPLE, works as well as any others
Been using two of them for over five years throughout US & Canada on 1980 Suzuki GS 850 and 2013 Moto Guzzi Stelvio NTX.These are SIMPLE and they DO THE JOB.All friction devices are tricky because there's a trade-off between good friction that locks your throttle, and (ideally) zero friction when you release the lock. This particular unit I find to be the simplest, most unobtrusive that I've tried and it WORKS WELL ENOUGH TO GIVE YOUR HAND A REST on the highway. On uneven roads however, it loosens up - but who would use a cruise control on a bumpy road? (well, some North American highways are in DIRE need of maintenance).A great value!I drilled a 2mm hole underneath and into the throttle housing, and used a piece of 14 gauge electrical wire to hold it in place better than the original clip.

Works great, requires some creativity to istall
Works great but as others have said it takes a little creativity, I cut off the tab, drilled a hole in it and zip tied it to the housing. Works great. I did have to pull the grip to make room for it AND most importantly this one got good reviews for Yamaha FJR1300 however after some review this is supposedly for a Honda. There is a different model of Vistacruise for Yamaha. I made the Honda one work on the FJR1300.

Does not fit 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S
I tried pretty hard to install this on my 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S but I simply could not make it fit. The screw that connects the two pieces together is too short and should be 1/16” to 1/8” longer. This item fits in the tiny gap between the accelerator grip and the ignition box. If the space is too tight (which in my case was) this would jam against the accelerator and prevents its proper functioning and would prevent the accelerator from returning to its neutral position. Good concept but less than ideal functioning. I am returning this item.

Best throttle lock on the market!
I've used this throttle lock on two different motorcycles for multiple years on each bike and can report back it's by far the best cruise control for the money. Does not take up any space on the hand grip since it installs on the throttle tube and is super simple to install. I use a few zip ties to secure the mounts to the throttle cables just for added security and better functionality. After a few thousand miles you will have to adjust the screw for the proper lock tension but after that she will last you another 10,000 mi until needing adjustment. I give this throttle lock a big thumbs up after 6 years on the road with mine! I was very surprised because it felt cheap and plasticky when I first bought this throttle lock but it has proven to be a great piece of equipment over the years.
