Faith Shaking evidence
As a student of comparative religions, this book is a must-read for someone who wants to get a holistic perspective of Ramayana. Determine which version of Ramayana was passed down to you. Beware, the content in here could shakeup your faith due to apparent contradictions with regard to Lord Rama and other key characters.Interesting to see that books 1 and 7 Ramayana are later addition to the original and bring the new element of divine origin (incarnation of Vishnu) of Lord Rama.

Good Work Undone by the Publisher
A good and interesting work undone by the publisher. The quality of the paper and the printing leaves much to be desired. I'm sure the publisher wouldn't dare sell a copy like this in the USA or the UK, where consumers are respected. Shows these publishers' attitude toward Indian consumers. I dock two stars for the pathetic print quality. The book by the way is informative and interesting. If I come across a better edition from a better publisher, I wouldn't mind buying it again.
