Excellent lighting for Wall paintings
Alot of functionality in a well designed, compact light fixture. The variable LED brightness and color adjustability is great, and the ability to angle the light and adjust the beam size is also super. A bit on the pricy side but worth it to get just the right lighting on centerpiece Paintings.

Amazing product
Been looking for years for a substitute for difficult to install, cumbersome track lighting. This easy to install screw in light fixture fits the bill. Not only is it great for highlighting artwork, but it works well to highlight other objects like antiques, etc. One of the most underrated aspects of interior design is lighting. Just as in an art gallery, spot lighting in particular can greatly improve the feel and quality of a room. The Method lights make this process easy and adaptable. So glad I found these lights.

Does it all well!
My wife, an accomplished artist, completed a much larger painting for over our couch in the family room. I changed out a can light for this model and she just loves it. She can increase the brightness and the warmth with the remote control to fit whatever ambiance she wants that evening or cloudy day. It also nicely covers a large painting. Great product!

Very good light with color temp and brightness remote
The light works quite well for my purposes. With remote to control color temperature and brightness. It is very bright at max setting. Once adjusted, settings can be stored into memory. (2 buttons on remote for that.) There are some timer options as well on the remote. (to stay on either 3 hours or 6 hours) The only thing I would like to see on this light is some way to adjust the "cone" of light emitted, and it would be REALLY great if that could be done remotely along with the other adjustments. All in all, I've tried many solutions for this lighting situation, and this one comes close to being exactly what I want. (Large photographs over the fireplace mantle, lighted from an existing recessed ceiling fixture)

An Absolute;y Great Product!
I just finished installing our first Methods Light fixture to spot a 5' X 4' oil painting on our dining room wall. It does everything the manufacturer promised. It was simple to set up and program. We programmed Setting I for a cooler, brighter light; and program II for a redder, less intense light. The wide angle feature allowed us to angle the beam away from any dinner quest field of vision. The light is on dimmer with an another overhead, but I can lower that light to practically zero without affecting the ML's performance. This is the perfect solution for our needs and I will be ordering several more to spot other art throughout our house. We thought we were going to have employ an electrician to run dedicated spots, but now we have avoided hundreds of dollars in additional expense and hassle. So that is another added benefit. The ML spot is worth every penny.

Not My Thing
I didn't like the light, the remote, or the look. On the positive side, it doesn't get much easier than this to install.

I hate how much I love this thing
The media could not be loaded. I have struggled for over a year at our new house to find a lighting solution for this colorful painting over the mantle. We have a standard 6" recessed light for the fireplace mantle (early 80s house with 10 ft ceiling). I changed it to a retrofit LED with variable color temperature but I could never focus the light or step down the intensity to my satisfaction. We hate overhead lighting when just hanging at home so it always felt garish and glaring to me to have the picture lighting so bright when the other overheads were off. This is a great solution. I can choose a color temperature on the warmer side of neutral and step it down to a gentle glow, then when the overheads are on for a party, increase the brightness to still showcase the painting. I was able to find a single Halo brand baffle trim piece on Amazon which took some searching because most come in multipacks. It doesn't look too bad. I see that some people buy socket extenders but I don't think we need one.I took a video going through some of the color temperature and brightness settings. Be aware that they are in steps rather than smooth transitions so you can't dial in a precise temperature or brightness. For example, I really want a step in between the "coolest" warm and the "warmest" neutral to match where our smart bulbs are all dialed in. Still, there is enough variety that you can probably find a good setting for most art, I would think. I like that there are 2 memory buttons for 2 favorite settings. I will say that I don't think the adjustment ring does much to change the size of the light cone at our short distance. Also when I had the ring all the way out there was a small gap where light escapes and I thought that was distracting.I have had my eye on this for months and have been put off by the high cost and fact that you can't change the "bulbs" so it could last a short time and you're S. O. L. because the warranty doesn't cover failure under normal use, per the materials in the package - but it's so much better than having to get a traditional art light and run a cord to an outlet which was my next best idea. I pray it lasts a long time but I think it's definitely worth it for our needs.
