Pine Tar 1 Gallon - Hoof Care Formula for Horses

I use this to mix with raw linseed oil and use as a wood preservative. The product in the can seems correct for 100% pine tar. It mixes well with the linseed oil. I'm happy with the product. Of course I don't have a lab to test the purity but I see no reason to doubt the contents.

this is good stuff...smells like your grandpas shop and works very well. mix boiled linseed with turpentine or mineral spirits and add pine tar for a DIY wood sealer. the ratio is 2 parts turpentine to 2 parts boiled linseed oil to 1 part pine tar.....the turpentine carrys the oil and tar into the wood fibers....later on you add a second coat and add a little more pine tar...this will seal the wood very nicely. i made a bridge over my creek and its solid and sheds water like you cant imagine. buy this product

I haven't used the product yet, but the star came off for packaging. The item arrived damaged; it wasn't badly damaged, but some decent dents around the rim which allowed a bit of the product to leak out.The item was packaged well, so I don't believe this to be a shipping or a merchant issue. It seems to be a manufacturing issue.

We purchase alot of pine tar from many different companies. This is the first time we've ever had an issue. very watery, and we cannot "thicken" it up no matter how much we add into it. Pretty disappointed. To the garbage it goes!

This is my favorite pine tar to use I. Making soaps and salves. Highly recommend!

When you open the can, you smell pine not smoke. I’m using this in soap and it’s just what I was looking for.

This pine tar works grate for mixing a formula to treat my wood deck, sign board, poarch, and siding on daughter's cabin.

This is marketed as horse hoof treatment, but it is pure pine tar with no additives and can be used for all purposes. The price per gallon is not bad. I am sure you could even make soap with it.
