Sturdy and comfortable!
I was looking for a very comfy chair that I could use to read on my patio, and I discovered this gem. It seems a bit expensive for an outdoor chair, but the ability to lay down comfortably plus the versatility of being able to take it camping, by the pool, or to the beach quite easily justified the price tag in my mind. It is a bit heavy, so I probably wouldn't bring it anywhere where I'd have to haul it too far, but the weight is pretty manageable for a short jaunt. The chair was already assembled upon delivery, so all I had to do was remove the packaging and unfold the chair. The directions are on the tag underneath the seat part of the chair (which is brilliant, honestly), and setup was quick and easy. The chair itself is very comfortable. I am a curvy 5'9" and fit into this chair with minimal limb overhang. My 6'5" friend fits into this chair with what he considers a tolerable amount of limb overhang. The extra width is nice too. Reclining this chair back turns it into a heavenly experience. It feels like a hammock, but with way more back support. I typically don't go ALL the way back, but even if I do, the movement locks on the chair are sturdy and effective.I really love the slide out table, and I really appreciate that it has a little notch on the front of the chair to connect it to for additional stability. The table has a cup holder that is large enough to hold a 32-40 ounce hydroflask/yeti/thicker cup, which is great. The table is large enough to hold a beverage vessel, a smaller portable speaker, a phone, and a kindle sized device or something slightly larger, like an iPad mini. All in all, this is a fantastic chair. I haven't had it for very long, but it seems well made, and is quite sturdy thus far. I'd love to pick up another if they ever go on sale.

Meet your portable throne
Heading into retirement over the next three weeks, I am preparing my outside creature comforts.Next up on the list was a new patio chair. I wanted something portable and ultra comfortable. A wealth of favorable Amazon reviews brought me to this EVER ADVANCED XL Zero Gravity Chair. In fact, as I write this review, I am now lying in a state of zero gravity and I have to tell you...it's a slice of heaven!First of all, this chair is well constructed. It's a bit heavy to carry around, but when you show up to an outdoor gathering and unfold this baby, you are going to be the envy of everyone there. This chair definitely stands out in the crowd as being something above the norm.Just looking at the chair, you can only imagine how comfortable it is with the thick layer of padding from head to foot. Once you get in the chair, your body just sinks into it, and as you raise it back, you feel as if you are hanging weightlessly in the air. It's a level of luxury that one does not experience from lounge chairs like these. The chair is roomy thanks to its XL size, providing ample width for larger individuals. There is a headrest that slides down a track if you wish to have extra support for your back. Thus far, I am using it for my head, and I must say, it's a great pillow. The fold-out tray and cup holder is a nice bonus, but I admit I have not really used it yet.The chair was pricey but absolutely worth the cost. If you know what a good luxury vehicle feels like, you can translate that experience to this chair. It takes very little time to get lost in it. Easily, you could sleep comfortably in this baby.

Sturdy Well Made Chair (a near clone of the Timber Ridge XXL version)
I bought the "TIMBER RIDGE Zero Gravity polyester Chair Oversized Recliner 350lbs Capacity Patio Lounge Chair Padded Lawn Chair with Headrest XXL" a few years ago and it was starting to get old (it's abused.. it's left in weather, hot sun.. outside all the time). I LOVE this chair and wanted one this comfortable. At the time I was shopping, the same chair was listed on Amazon at $190 and I don't know why (as I write this review, it's now at $150).Shopping around, I foundTHIS chair and it looked pretty much identical to the Timber Ridge one but was about $100. It too is fantastic. The sliding head rest stays in place and you avoid that elastic band that always breaks or loses its tone. The armrests are at the perfect height for comfort and reading a book/phone. Its a tad short I think for my 6' 1" self, but its definitely comfortable enough. I like the side table. It kind of pivots around and under the seat and doesn't rely on the separate side table many of these chairs come with. Those can be wobbly and unsteady in my experience. It's sturdy and well made. Very happy I found it at a good price!

the differences between the frames
These can be very comfortable no matter what frame you get (aluminum or steel frame). I have gotten many of these and though it might uncomfortable for those who are 6 ft or taller, sitting in it is still pretty comfortable. the aluminum frame feels like it has more padding to it but thats the main good thing about it. the downside to the aluminum frame is that it tends to break easily (despite body weight) especially in the front of the arm rests where the foot rest connects for the reclining. as for the steel frame, it's more durable but the pins where the back of the chair connects tend to wear and break, would be an easy fix if the pins used weren't what i needed a divot tool for. all in all for the price of the steel frame it is more worth it since it is cheaper the aluminum frame and the frame itself lasts longer.
