Nissin Ramen Noodle, Shoyu Tonkotsu Pork Instant Noodles With Soup Base, 12 Pack (Shoyu Tonkotsu)

First, this is some very good ramen and the black mushroom oil adds a unique spin on the flavor. The Food Police that complain about the sodium level should simply NOT drink all of the broth. Using half packets of seasoning will also ruin this excellent ramen. If Nissin were to modify any one of the ingredients, it would ruin it. Let's admit that the Japanese people are masters at making instant ramen (among many other things) and Nissan is the King of them all. This isn't the best ramen I have ever eaten but it is the best for the price. My local Japanese restaurant charges $10.50 for a bowl vs about $1.00 for this. Nissan also makes a much better, richer and higher quality Umami Tonkotsu NISSIN RAOH flavor, but it is also twice as expensive (but more in line with Japanese restaurant quality ramen). Finally, there was a complaint about the packaging. It seems that this problem has been fixed, as my order arrived perfectly packaged. Nobody will ever catch me buying another 25 cent package of cheap ramen again. Try this one, I think that you'll like it. Give the more expensive Umami Tonkotsu NISSIN RAOH flavor a try as well.

They taste good, but the recommended daily allowance of sodium is less than 2300 mgs a day. They want the average adult to shoot for no more than 1500 mgs a day. One pack of these noodles contain 2,060 mgs. That's ridiculous. I tossed them in the garbage. If you value your health, don't buy these. I actually ate some of these. I regret it. I wish i would have read the ingredients first. I usually do. The one star is for taste, but health wise they are no good.

The ramen itself is really excellent, both in flavor and in texture.The missing star is for the packaging. These 12 packets were taped together with half a roll of clear packing tape, and the tape weaves in and out of the packets. It is like performing a surgery in order to free one packet at a time. During the process, two of them tore, which I wasn't ready to eat them yet, so they may end up going stale. If you're really patient and like a challenge, you may eat these delicous ramen noodles.

They're delicious! If you're a noodle lover, then add this to your cupboard! The separate oil and seasoning packets are a must. When a noodle has it's own seasoning oil, you know it's going to be flavorful! (Ahem: for all the complaints about the packaging and sodium: do you not realize you're eating "instant" noodles? Famously known for both? And if you have high blood pressure, then you can't eat these, or any instant noodles. Duh. Don't give it a bad review just because you failed to read the nutrition label, which is provided!)

This is probably my most favorite instant ramen. I picked it up at an Asian grocery store along with a bunch of others at one point a few years ago to try and the flavor profile of this is so intriguing! The pork flavor is great, but then you add the black garlic oil (in a separate packet) and I feel like I'm at a restaurant eating ramen! I've stopped back a few times to that store, but since moving across town, I haven't been able to find a store that has it close by. Thanks to Amazon now I can get it again!The ramen packages came in a good sized box in the mail. They even included chopsticks!

I first had black garlic ramen in Okinawa and have wished to find it once again. HERE IT IS!!! Wonderful flavor. Great just to sit around and enjoy on a cold evening. Gonna buy more!!!!!

This is my new fav lunch when I’m in a rush. I’ve never really been a fan of regular ramen, so I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this. Grown up flavors, with actual garlic taste. As someone trying to keep salt in check, this was very salty to me...I add 1/2 cup extra water. Overpriced on Amazon, we find this at our big Asian Market for much cheaper.

This is the best instant ramen I've ever had. Period. I've tried quite a few different types, but this is my go-to when I need a more traditional ramen. Is it as cheap as the supermarket stuff? Absolutely not, but that's not why we're here. Is it as good as a fresh bowl in a decent restaurant? Obviously there is no comparison there, either. What we are left with is an instant ramen with a tasty, balanced flavor profile, with drinkable broth and decent noodles, all at around $1 per serving. No insane spice (to each their own), no ridiculously strong saltiness, nothing truly noteworthy, other than being very, very good, and in this particular realm of ramen, I think it might be the best one can do (at least in the USA). Minus 1 star for the black garlic oil packet itself, as sometimes it's a pain to get all of that good stuff out. Also, as good as this stuff is, I can't help but hope that the price goes down just a bit in the future.
