Automoblox BR100 Hercules

The product comes as a dump truck with the hauler as an attachment. In order to use it as the hauler, the dump truck portion needed to be removed. The problem is that the attachment joint is so tight and the plastic on the dump truck so flimsy that they bent and threatened to break as soon as you tried to detach it. I convinced my son to leave it as a dump truck because I was too scared to try the conversion. Unfortunately, 2 days later, the desire to play with it as a hauler was too great, so we tried the conversion and ended up snapping the tabs right off of the dump truck, so it's no longer usable.The hauler is wonderful and my son loved the dump truck conversion. The problem is the design of the conversion joint makes it very, very difficult to switch between the two configurations without breaking.Given how sturdy the vehicles are, the gray, plastic components like the dump truck and hauler ramp are comparatively flimsy.We have contacted PlayMonster customer service and they tell us this product is no longer being made, however, we can order a replacement part for just the cost of shipping/handling. Also, they gave us instructions to twist the attachments 90 degrees before pulling off. Since there were no instructions with the product, we just assumed a little bit of strength was needed to pull off pieces - the way it is with every other part of the Automoblox vehicles.We will be replacing the dump truck portion because my son absolutely loves the toy and enjoys both conversions.

This is a quality product just like their other stuff. Solid construction with interchangeable parts that don't seem likely to break. My only gripe is that the hauler comes with a plastic ramp that can be extended, dropped to the bottom, and tucked away. While that is super cool, the ramp itself comes loose from the truck very easily. I watched a very frustrated 4 year old cry because he had to reattach the ramp every time he wanted to push his little cars up the ramp to stow them on the hauler. It is definitely not an easy task for a little kid.

This product was a gift for my 4yo son birthday. The DAY he received it the 2 little cars that come with it are all broke & will not stay on the car. Even the rubber tires fall off when the car is pushed. I would most definitely return if possible. But I ordered in April 11th & didnt give the product until 5/12/19 (his bday). For the cost of the truck I expected it to last longer than 1 day. Very disappointed!

My little boy loves cars, trucks, haulers and everything that falls in between. For Christmas, he received a set of the Automoblox wood cars as a gift from my parents and they were awesome- well made and durable- I think they found them at Belk. When our son's birthday came around in February, my husband and I were pumped about finding the Automoblox car hauler/ dump truck combo on Amazon. Well, the excitement dissipated quickly when after opening and playing with the new toy, the dump truck lift broke. With the pandemic, we've missed our window to return which is equally as frustrating. The return policies through Amazon are not great and, honestly, the quality of the toys that I've purchased have been poor. I realize that Amazon has "competitive" pricing and it's so convenient with their delivery but after Christmas (2019) I've returned four toys and had to keep a broken Frozen house because, again, the return window was so short. All this to say- I will not buy another toy from Amazon.

It's been several years since we purchased Automoblox. Back then we laid out the big bucks for them because they were leaps and bounds above other toy cars in terms of, well. everything. They were beautifully styled, lovely to hold and easy to play with--with a satisfying click when the parts were taken apart and reassembled. They used to be top notch materials and craftsmanship. No longer. This toy is not near as nice. It is made of cheap plastic parts that I don't expect to last and lesser quality wood. My inexpert assessment would be that the wood is pine or another lightweight softwood. The little cars don't pull apart into front, middle and back sections as they are supposed to (which is to say: easily). One of the little connector bits has already come unattached.

We are usually a big fan of Automoblox, we have a bunch of their vehicles and love them. My 4 year old was so excited to get this one until it arrived broken in the mail. It had to have been shipped broken, as the way it was packaged, it couldn't have been damaged during shipment. The little pegs holding the ramp on and the dump truck on were broken off, making it unusable. I have ordered a replacement in hopes that the new one is better, if it is, I will update this review. But as of now I am sorely disappointed in Automoblox and this car carrier.
