5x breastfeeding - 1st time using; wish I’d had them all along.
This was my splurge item and did wonder if it was going to be a snake oil product. These weren’t a thing breastfeeding my other children 18-13 years ago and I remember that terrible feeling of a leaky nipple getting stuck to breast pads and peeling it off 😱😓 I used these religiously for the first month and I can honestly say that I had much, MUCH less sore nipple sensation and general sensitivity. I didn’t have any cracked nipples this time around either. How much of this can I put down to my experience in breastfeeding or this product? I don’t know. But I do know that the first issue I mention had was completely eliminated and I know that does cause discomfort.I’ve slept in theses, they’re easy to clean / sterilise, warm quickly but I never really found them to be ‘cold’.The only negative I have is that sometimes when your nipple is swollen / breasts engorged the metal can dig in to you and cause some discomfort but you can adjust this and there’s no lasting issue.£30 well spent. Genuinely impressed.

Fantastic
I purchased these cups out of desperation after becoming really sore within the first week of my daughter's birth. Within a few hours of using these cups my nipples had started to heal. They are lovely and soothing as they are cold. I don't need to use them now. Quite expensive to purchase but in my opinion has been worth every penny.

Works wonders and instant relief
I got this for my wife recently who was struggling with pain and soreness due to our first new born. The wife got instant relief and has had them on almost all the time. Excellent value for money.

Perfect for breastfeeding and expressing
These have been a great help in my early nursing days.I am exclusively expressing and using these after provides a nice relief. They are easy to clean and have not tarnished in the few days I've been using them.

Miracle workers
I had an issue with latching on one side which caused a deep crack for several weeks after the latching issue was fixed. The crack reopened every time baby fed and caused pain and bleeding. I was doing saline solution bathing and lanolin and it wasn’t getting any better. These did the trick, within a day the nipple was on the mend, painhad reduced and bleeding stopped. Nice to have protection for the nipple too. By a week later I was able to breastfeed normally. They work by holding your breastmilk in the crack and the breastmilk is what heals it. Amazing stuff. They are a bit uncomfortable if you wear them constantly. However, if you need to heal a cracked nipple, these plus some soaking in saline solution is just about the best thing you can do.

Not worth it
It does keep your nipples moisturiser as they say but at the same time it digs into your skin (already sensitive) and hurts. Very uncomfortable to use. Not worth the money.

effective but very expensive for what it does
they do make a difference and help a lot with healing the nipple skin. As a product is very effective. However, they are not very comfortable to wear. They are also very expensive so wouldnt recommend buyinf them as there are other products out there that can do similar job and are cheaper.

Made things worse for me
I was advised by midwives to use silver cups for my cracked and sore nipples due to breastfeeding. I followed their recommendation and wore the cups continuously between feeds/pumping, keeping them clean as instructed. However, after about two weeks of use, I developed a painful infection. As soon as I stopped using the cups, I experienced an immediate reduction in pain and discomfort. I suspect that the moist environment created by the cups may have contributed to the infection. Additionally, the shallow groove for the nipple felt constricting, which added to the discomfort.
