I wish there was a 6th star!
This trilogy is so amazing that five stars just doesn't really cover it. The writing is mostly fabulous, the characters are relatable and enjoyable (even the antagonists!) and Paige does not resort to the common mistake of making her hero and heroine too good nor her villains all bad. Remarkable work for a new novelist, or for any of the current crop of New Adult authors. The books aren't flawless, of course. For instance, at one point. Alayna throws her phone on the ground and it breaks, but two pages later, she's using it again. I'm not going to say much about the teeny, tiny imperfections, though, for two reasons:1. They're so small and insignificant as to be completely irrelevant, and2. I don't want to detract from the gushing I'm about to do.Hudson Pierce is a hot, sexy, dominant, rich, successful captain of industry and, he claims, unable to love. Alayna Withers is a young, beautiful, relatively innocent young woman with a newly minted MBA, although she continues to work in a nightclub. Which is where she and Hudson lay eyes on one another for the first time. Or so she thinks.Thing is, Hudson has had a history of playing head games with women, hurting and leaving them just to see if he can. Just a rich, incredibly good looking guy messing around and breaking hearts, right? His occasional partner in this mental and emotional mayhem is Celia, a girl he's known all his life but claims never to have been involved with. Some time in counseling has helped Hudson realize that the games are a sort of addiction and he's given them up.Alayna is a young woman looking for love, having been orphaned at a young age. She's been obsessed with the men she gets involved with and took it so far one time that the guy took out a restraining order and filed charges against her. Only her lawyer brother, Brian, and a stint in therapy kept her out of jail. Alayna's been "clean" of obsessing for a while when she meets Hudson. The premise here isn't that new or unusual; Hudson wants Alayna to pretend to be his girlfriend so his family will stop badgering him to marry Celia. He'll pay Alayna well, buy her any clothing she needs to fit in his life, and will give her opportunities and connections in the business world that could really help her make a career.Hudson also wants to sleep with Alayna, who is completely into the idea. He tells her up front that it's only sex, has nothing to do with the fake relationship, and warns her he won't fall in love with her. From that point on, the story moves along well. There are some subplots having to do largely with Celia and with Hudson's family. There are secrets being kept, suspicions harbored, pain inflicted and endured. There is happiness and food and dancing. At some points, everyone's crazy comes out; there's a lovely and subtle parallel between Hudson's "experiments" as he calls them, Alayna's obsessions, and other addictions. It makes it easy to see that these two people are dealing with forces they have to work to control and that they are doing their damnedest.I am NOT going to put any spoilers in this review. It's an evil thing to do. But let me ASSURE you that watching Hudson and Alayna and his parents and sister and Celia and Alayna's co-workers and Brian and a bunch of tertiary characters move through this storyline is a pleasure. I read through this entire trilogy in about two days. Maybe three. I stayed up until 2:00 a.m., on a work night, to finish it. The last quarter of the last book in the series had me wrecked. It made me cry, made me laugh, made my heart pound; I dreaded what I knew was coming and then I looked forward to what I thought was coming. The entire story was like that, really, but the last part was just amazing writing; not many writers can put the reader through those paces so well and so completely. The sex in this story? Oh, my goodness! Hot doesn't even cover it. But it's good hot. There are no physically impossible positions, not one whip, flogger, or handcuff, and it's clear throughout even the wildest ride that these two people care immensely about one another. Even those who aren't normally into explicit sexual detail in their books will enjoy at least some of this, I think. And it certainly doesn't take up the whole series.I love the way this whole thing ended, too. I thought it was a realistic, given the characters and the situation, and that it was very human. If you've ever been in love with someone who made you nuts, you'll completely understand it.I cannot recommend this trilogy, and this author, highly enough. It's unfortunate that when I recently visited an author event in Seattle, and Paige was there, I had not read this series. If I had, I might have embarrassed her with my effusive praise and adoration. This woman has talent, ideas, and an apparent knowledge of exactly how to move her audience. I am really excited to go read everything else Laurelin Paige has ever written. Or will write. She's really good, this story is really epic, the trilogy is worth whatever you pay for it, and you are not going to regret the time you spend reading the Fixed series. Trust me on this.

I was totally ‘fixed’ on the Fixed Trilogy!
“I’m drawn to you, Alayna. Not because I want to hurt you or make you feel a certain way, but because you’re beautiful and sexy and smart and yes, a little crazy, maybe, but you’re not broken. And that makes me hopeful. For me.”I was totally ‘fixed’ on the Fixed Trilogy! This series completely consumed me, I read the entire thing in 4 days’ time. I couldn’t put it down, sneaking in chapters at work and staying up way too late once I got home because I had to find out what happened next. I had planned on writing a review on each book separately but I couldn’t stop long enough in between to get my thoughts out and now that I’m done it’s all run together into one amazing story that I couldn’t possibly separate! I won’t spoil anything because this series takes a few twists and turns that I didn’t expect but you’re going to run the gamut of emotions during this so just be prepared for that!I really liked Alayna, she’s had a rough past and her obsessive tendencies have gotten her into trouble in the past but she’s gotten help and has learned to cope with her obsessive urges and has gotten her life under control again. That is until the amazingly hot Hudson Pierce shows up at her nightclub one night and turns her whole world upside down. Hudson’s also done some terrible things in his past and between their two compulsions, on paper their relationship looks like a total disaster waiting to happen. But together it almost seems like they fix one another, Alayna doesn’t feel the overwhelming need to resort to her old ways and Hudson has no desire to play his past games. Things start off with them faking a relationship for the benefit of his parents to convince them that he is capable of love and shouldn’t marry longtime friend Celia. It’s clear to see early on that she affects him on a level much deeper than that and before long they are giving it a go at a real relationship. However secrets from the past and old habits may threaten everything they’ve built together and it’s through these events that your heart will ache for this couple. The angst is slow building in the first book and sort of picks up steam towards the end of the second book but you’re fully immersed in it by the third book and oh boy does it hurt. But all the while you’re just totally rooting for their HEA because it’s so clear that they are so deeply in love and belong together. The end is so amazing and totally worth all of the pain and suffering that I had to endure to get there! It was hard not to fall in love with Hudson right away, despite what he says, he is super romantic and totally capable of love even if he can’t admit it. The things he would do for Alayna and the way he treated her were totally swoon-worthy. And seriously how hot is a strong, confident guy in a 3 piece suit with sexy black framed glasses? One thing I totally loved about him was that he was as equally attracted to Alayna’s mind and business smarts as he was to her body. And I melted every time he called her ‘precious’. And let’s just say you’re going to want a fan nearby as you read this series because it was totally and completely hot! Hudson knows how to please his woman, that’s for sure (he literally cut a pair of shorts off of her, like with scissors, for crying out loud!).You also got to experience quite a bit of growth from both characters over the course of the series which is always nice to see. In addition to Alayna and Hudson there was also a whole host of secondary characters that were also great (even the evil ones!). I loved Liesl and Hudson’s sister Mira, their friendship with Alayna was perfect. Hudson’s father was a hoot and while I hated his mother throughout, I actually felt sorry for her by the end. And Celia, oh Celia, I don’t think there’s a word strong enough to describe my dislike towards her! Let’s not forget about David and Alayna’s brother Brian and I even liked Norma and Gwen in the end too. They all play their part to help enhance this awesome story. It’s hard to accurately describe how much I loved this series, I felt everything while reading these books. There were times I was grinning, then wanting to scream, then cringing, then gasping and then my heart would melt right before it’s broken and then put back together again. There are so many ups and downs but it makes you appreciate the end so much more, by the last few chapters of the 3rd book I had tears in my eyes. Sooo good! I definitely look forward to more from Laurelin Paige! For now though I am off to read the companion novel Hudson to get a better look into that sexy brain of his and you really should go and read this series!5 enthusiastic stars!

Mais do que um romance
Muito bom! É uma história envolvente e cativante. Uma relação com altos e baixos, onde a confiança e a honestidade devem ser construídas. Uma lição de vida, na verdade. Amar e não ter vergonha de ser feliz.

the BEST
Gosh it's such a good book! I thought it was totally worth my 1st priority and I was "obsessed" with the book... Or more like to Alayna and Hudson. I was so into the book, I felt so hurt when Alayna was hurt and very happy when she was. All the emotional roller coaster Alayna had, I was in it.Now the book Hudson, is tempting me to read it... Gosh. I don't have enough time!I wish so much with my whole heart that there will be a movie of all the trilogy. It'll be far better than 50shades. Oh some pls pls pls make a movie !!! I'm dying to see Alayna and Hudson in real life, I'm tempted to google them even though I know they don't really exist in real life.. I wish they did.. HahaAnyway, it's a damn awesome book. I promise there won't be any regrets in reading this book. Thanks to the author and our Creator :)
