Let me start by saying I am notoriously awful about dropping my phone due to my lovely butterfingers. I've had a few different generations of iphones throughout the years and almost all of them were eventually cracked, shattered, or slowly killed by trauma until they were unusable.I currently have an 8-plus and have had it for about 2 years and it does not have a scratch on it. This bumper is literally a godsend. I use mine in combination with front and back glass screen protectors. My good friend recommended it to me when I first upgraded to my new phone.I wanted something that wasn't too bulky but also showed off the red backside of my iphone which I loved while also protecting my phone.This rhinoshield has been through the ringer, and only after two years did I finally need to order a 2nd one due to it becoming loose and coming off too easily. This has been the only case which has protected my phone so well, even though I was suspicious at first due to it looking not very protective I was proven VERY wrong! I love this thing and I felt like after such a good purchase I HAD to leave a review.

Purchased the Red guard for a space gray phone and it looks so good! This is the 2nd product purchase in 3 years on an iPhone 8+, the old one was purple, and after 3 years of drops it was time for a new one. Bonus is that the cases are "customizable" now, although we don't use the feature, and this time it also included a back plastic to prtect the open back. Enjoy immensely and highly recommend.

I wanted a case for my phone that would let it ventilate since it's quite hot where I live and I've been having some overheating problems. This case does that perfectly since it leaves the back uncovered but also is much sturdier than I believed it would be for a bumper only case. Very satisfied with my purchase

I’ve had this bumper on my iPhone for a year and it has proved to be well worth the $25. By all accounts my phone should be blown to smithereens after countless hard falls and drops. The bumper also gives you a literal feel of how Apple designed it to feel without any protection. 1 small footnote *I keep a thin screen protector on front and back just in case...* But I have dropped it without the bumper and only screen protector and broke 100 different ways

I can’t say enough positive things about the Rhino bumper!! I have used this as my protective case on 3 different iPhones now and they really do protect the phone. I drop my phone all the time on concrete, tile floors, furniture, etc. and the screen never breaks! I won’t use anything else!! They do wear out after about 2 years and need replacement, but that’s after hard use and several drops on hard surfaces. I highly recommend!!

This bumper fits my iPhone 7 Plus beautifully. It looks good, and the bright red color makes it easier to find my phone without using the locator utility. ;) I feel like it provides a better "grip" than the silicon case I had been using.It's a few dollars pricier than some other options, but it seems to be worth it.I can't speak to how well it protects the phone if you drop the phone...because I haven't dropped the phone since I bought this bumper about a week ago. And perhaps that's because it provides a better grip? ;)

I saw plenty of reviews complaining about how tight the case was, but figured it has to be for a bumper case. It doesn't, however, have to be tight enough to fracture the corner of the screen during installation. I wanted to love the case, but can't say anything about how well it protects due to the case itself breaking the screen. Although it was a small crack on the corner, I now cannot remove the case due to concerns about it fracturing further with all of the complaints about how hard it is to get off.DO NOT BUY.This occurred while following the video instructions on their website step-by-step.See photo above

I have a special edition red IPhone 7Plus that still looked like new because I immediately protected it with a RinoShield bumper. When my original one finally began to fall apart, I ordered a replacement. Have been using them for years and although I have been known to drop my phone with some regularity, have never had damage. Does the job without covering my pretty red phone.

Rhinoshield is a reliable brand and this bumper did an excellent job in protecting my phone. It is very light but tight fit. I dropped it a couple of times but the bumper was sturdy enough to protect the phone. I used it as a bumper and sometimes with a backplate (see image). The bumper itself is grippy but it did get a little slippery after using it for a couple of months. With fully customisable backplates to swap (you do need to order them from rhinoshield website), this bumper is a great for someone who wants to switch between bumpers and full cases.

Very protective case however even on the most minor drops the case gets scuffed and discoloured.

EDIT:Today, while putting me phone in my pocket, it fell, completely shattering the front glass, even though it did not fall on a pointy/edge object that is not covered by the cover.Checking RhinoShield warranty policy, it does not seem like they offer any type of warranty with regards to phone protection, this is very disappointing, as this is my THIRD cover from RhinoShield, and while the previous two have protected my phone from endless falls, this one did not, suggesting that it might be faulty.ORIGINAL:This the third RhinoShield CrashGuard NX I own (for different phones).My phone fell tens of times on all different types of floors and it always protects the phone without any scratches. The only issues occur if the phone falls face down on a non-uniform surface, that can damage the screen/back, but that is obviously expected out of an case that does not cover the front/back.
