Not a chance. I'm between 5'11 and 6 and the M is definitely an ankle pant. Check out the Men's jogger in tall! I have a review there with pics. Great for tall girls.

I’m 5’7”, 140 lbs and wear a small tall.... hope that helps

Absolutely not, they do not make that annoying synthetic material noise when walking at all.

Q: I’m 5’4 and want them to fit a bit above my ankle, should I go with petite?

I’m 5’3 and the Petite go more than “a bit” over my ankle and even more so when I sit down. I recommend the regular length. They sit comfortably on my ankle.
