Great Meccano set
Bought for my 9 year old daughter. The box comes in a convenient case with instructions to build a number of items. My daughter was able to build all by herself so adult supervision is not going to be required.The build relies on allan keys and the items being built are quite technical. It proved to be a good challenge for her and can entertain for an afternoon. She has really enjoyed this as an alternative to Lego.

As my previous review of a different but nevertheless Meccano toy, is the same, great educational toy for the inquisitive minds of all ages, great invention by a brilliant human mind.

An amazing Kit
Housed in a sensible carry case, with a great number of projects, will keep you amused and frustrated for hours/days/weeks or months. A superb gift.

You can never have enough Meccano
A lot of pieces in the box. They count each screw and nut as a piece though. Still it has enough for any budding engineer to get started.

Great start up set
Superb set, lots of options available with thus larger set and certainly better value for money.The box is about as big as a travel suitcase and sturdy enough for storage and carriage.

Missing lots of parts and broken box
Let me start with how disappointed l am with this set,bought for my sons 10th birthday and it was disaster ,set came with the broken box and missing long list of parts ,l would have listed here but it would take me long time to type the message,l know l can get the refund but that’s not the point is it was my sons birthday present and he couldn’t enjoy it because it was not finished product,my son was very upset to see him upset l was upset as well,very upset customer.l was expecting good quality product.

You only get instructions for 11 of the 25 models!
Whilst this is a fantastic Meccano set, bear in mind that instructions are only provided for 11 of the 25 models, the remaining 14 are NOT on the Meccano website. I have raised this with the manufacturer and their response was that you should be able to construct them from the image alone, which I find a bit of a stretch, particularly for a 10 year old as per the product age range. Other multiple sets have additional build instructions on their website but for some reason this one doesn’t. Beware! Full instructions would have resulted in 5 stars all round.
