Q: Are these better than Hyloforte drops?

I find these eye drops are so much better than Hylo Forte for my severe dry eye problem. The reason for this is as well as the 0.2% of sodium hyaluronate that is present in Hylo Forte there is one extra ingredient in Thealoz Duo which is 3% Trehaloza. If you flag up the name Trehalose in Google, Wikipedia, it will explain why this is so effective. It is a natural source which has high water retention capabilities, it is implicated in the ability of plants and animals to withstand prolonged periods of desiccation. Unfortunately, it is not available on prescription unlike Hylo Forte, but I have found that I don't need to use it so often during the day, so it lasts me for a reasonable time. Irregular use also beneficial, but a personal comfort choice. Product shelf life is about 3 months. Recommended by my eye doctor. No adverse reaction.

using up to 4 drops daily they will only last around 1 - 1.5 months . once you open and use the drops they are not to be kept for more than 3 months.
