Works as described
I use this when I attach my pressure washer so I get less water spots. I chose to add quick connects so I could attach and detach as needed and lengthen life.

Don’t buy for washer machine
Does not thread onto washer spigots easily at all. Could not keep from leaking.

So far, not so good
I am trying to get rid of white dust from a home humidifier. Purchasing distilled water would cost about $70 a month. I tried this filter because of the price and simplicity. It functioned as described. It lowered the harness to zero using a water hardness test strip from my hot tub kit. A word of caution. Don't depend on a cheap digital electronic water hardness tester as it measures all solids and you will still get a reading similar to straight tap water. Also, run the water slowly through this filter to give it time to work. Now I just have to see how long it lasts at about 2 gals a day.

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN SCREWING THESE ON YOUR WASHER HOSES !
These things work but they are EXTREMELY cheaply produced. And you need Teflon tape with these also to prevent leaking but that is normal to use Teflon tape with this.

Easy to use, works well, I like it
Very nice item to use on our garden hose for washing cars, since we have such hard water.It is easy to use and works well.I like it and am happy to have it.

Cheap junk. Leaks water.
Leaks. Cheap plastic. Threads do not fit very well. Weak plastic strips out and deforms easily.
