Merrell Men's Moab 2 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot

I am just getting into hiking and have never really owned appropriate footwear for this activity. After doing some research on affordable and comfortable options, I ordered these Merrill Moab 2 boots a couple of weeks ago. Since receiving them, I’ve been on a few short hikes this past week that included the varied terrain of the PNW from the beach to rain forest to mountains.So far they’ve proven to be sturdy, comfortable, supportive and dry. They really helped with the trails in terms of traction, ankle support and being water repellent. We’ll see how they do on longer hikes in the future.This was a great choice for me. I have chronic foot problems pain and these proved to be very easy on my feet.

I have purchased women's Merrell hiking boots for many years. I have consistently worn a size 9.5 in women. I purchased several Merrell women hiking boots recently size 9.5 and had to return them for too tight a fit. My toes touched the end of the shoe and the width was just too tight. I love Merrell hiking shoes so I tried men's size 8 and they fit just right. They were as comfortable and wearable right out of the box as always.

One of the loops for the shoelaces fell off after 2 weeks of wearing them!

Great Fit and Comfortable and well made hiking boot

I ordered a half size up from my usual size and they fit perfectly. Maybe my feet grew. I have only worn them around local to break in, planning a hike soon, that will be test.

Should be a great hiking boot but have not had good luck with this style. It wear too loose at the toe and pinches at the toe when climbing.
