These were a great price. I bought them to make clothespin cookies. I have boiled them and washed them and I will say they do splinter. If you wrap them with aluminum foil and lightly spray with oil this is not an issue.

I broke my rule of always reading comments. These clothespins seem to be well made and are nice and long, however, the gap does not allow it to go over the clothesline, much less over any wash you would like to hang. I would return them if I hadn’t already opened the package. May be good kindling for the fire this winter. Below is a comparison of what works and what doesn’t.
