Great for my first trail 50K
Just finished my first trail 50K and very pleased with my Nathan TrailMix 7L hydration vest. Bladder was easy to fill (and clean/dry afterwards) and the mouth valve worked much better than both of my friend's Camelback's valves. The front pockets held my 2 soft flasks secure for the whole run. I also did a short training run with regular 500ml water bottles and they did fine also. While I did not need to use all the storage space during my race, I chose this vest to also use on future all day hiking trips. Plenty of room for extra snacks, rain poncho, flashlight, etc.Like some others have mentioned, the front straps did loosen while running, but it was simple to reach up and pull the strap to snug it up again. A minor annoyance. I had no issues with chafing or rubbing through my single layer tech shirt.

Comfortable
I have used a few times and it is working well. It replaced one that I have been using for years. Good color scheme and a fair amount of usable pockets, the front pocket fits my cell phone XR with a case. The storage in the rear is not spacious but adequate for essentials only. So far it fits well and it's comfortable to walk, jog and run in. But you need to get used to wearing this type equipment. Works well in cooler weather but in the sub tropical heat and humidity of Hawaii, let's just say hydration is just a trade off, it may make you fairly warm. In the very cool temperatures of Washington or Oregon it is perfect.

FANTASTIC!!
Light, stable, and minimal water bottle jostle. Enough room for the essentials. I am also not a small guy and it fits to spec. My chest size is a 44" and there is enough give to breath comfortably and still stay put even in the final few hundred yards..

Lightweight Vest
I spent a lot of time shopping for my first hydration vest as I began increasing the distance on my trail runs. This pack is incredibly comfortable and has ample room for extras like gels, a cell phone, bear spray, or a flashlight. However, the front straps tend to come loose frequently, which requires constant readjustment. I usually end up tying them down to keep them in place.

Great hydration vest for distance running
Great hydration vest. It is light weight and has pockets for a phone and for other running supplies (like gels). Overall awesome vest!

Hmm
I bought this for running and was excited for it. I could not fit my mid layer in it when shredding layers off. Another issue o had was the chest straps don’t stay at the tightness I set them at and I’m constantly adjusting them. Another issue I had was that I couldn’t get the chest straps tight enough to comfortable spot where there was no bounce. im not small bodied so I’d imagine others who are smaller than me would have got issues. If they sized it instead of doing a “one size fits most” like other running bags and vest it would work much nicer. I did really like the webbing across the face of it for attaching strobe to for night runs. The hydration pack with quick disconnects works well and the hose is really long so you can figure out what works for you and then trim to the size you’d like it at. The arm strap pouch is large enough to hold a larger smart phone perfectly (iPhone 13).

Best Hiking/Running Camelback
My favorite feature is the water/snack/PHONE compartment up front. I always love taking photos hiking but my phone isn’t accessible in a backpack. This camelback makes it so easy to carry snacks, wallet, water and phone all in one place.

Hydration pack leaks after 5 uses, it’s a known issue. Vest is flawed
Hydration pack leaks after a handful of uses. This is a known issue and should be recalled but Hydrapak doesn’t want to address the issue. As for the vest itself, it’s okay after rigging it with a rubber band so your phone doesn’t bounce in the chest strap pocket. Also good to take a bungee cable to keep the pack portion from bouncing.Poor effort on both parts, look elsewhere!
