This is the best made, strongest transom saver I've used. I have a mercury 300r and even though it's only rated for a 150hp, it's stronger than the ones that are rated for much larger engines. I've tried them all. This is the only one that has lasted. PS I fish all over the country so it's well tested.

Easy to install and Easy to use

Wasn't sure if this product would work for my application, but it has proven itself out. The kit looks like it will handle almost all applications. I installed it to the trailer cross bar and used the drain hole for the mounting bolt. Note that the angle adapter can be flipped to move the mounting hole closer or further away from end of the cross bar and to match perfectly with the existing drain hole. I drilled a new drain hole under the cross bar in case there isn't enough drainage due to mounting bolt. The assembly took a couple of tries getting the round bars to just the right length. The shock cord around the back of the skeg seemed like too sharp a turn possibly weakening the cord, so I use a slit heater hose to create a softer edge. Overall very pleased with the quality and build of this product.
