SIMPLIHOME Acadian SOLID WOOD 19 inch Wide Square Transitional End Table in Black for the Living Room and Bedroom

I bought these for our living room redo because I spent the whole budget on the sofa and couldn't afford the ones I had in mind at the furniture store that were 5x the cost, so came home, went on amazon, found these similarly styled ones and figured I'd take a chance. I am so glad I did!These tables are great. I got 3 of them in the black color so they work well with a multitude of decor. The black isn't harsh either, it's a softer black. The finish is more of a matte finish which I like because it doesn't take focus off the sofas and the other decor by being too shiny.Size wise, these tables are a decent size especially for smaller areas. It's very simple to put together. You will need a philips screwdriver aka the x screwdriver which is not included to assemble these. It took about 15 minutes for the first table assembly because there was a little confusion on if the cam screws did in fact go in the tiny holes or if I was going to be permanently damaging the table. The instructions were a little vague and the holes look so small. But yes, they do go in the tiny holes. The next 2 tables were assembled and in place in under 5 minutes, because once you know how to put it together, it really is a breeze.The quality of the materials was a nice surprise. It appears to be made of a solid yet softer wood as opposed to particle board or some other mdf product. It really feels like a better quality piece that will last if treated with respect. Obviously if you sit on it or put your heavy bottomed boots on it, or cover it in junk it's going to tear it up over time, but if it's just to hold the remote, a table lamp, some coasters, a few knick knacks and a box of tissues(everyday things you'd find on an end table), it'll be just fine. I definitely recommend these tables and may buy another one once the sofas are delivered and in place. I'm just not sure if we will have room and if we need it to balance the space just yet, but I'd love to buy all the matching pieces. Absolutely gorgeous! You won't be disappointed!

This was probably the best packaged furniture kit I have EVER seen! And I do lots of these.It was a bit of work to open, but everything was super well protected. Not like some brands where things are broken.Also the product finish was truly excellent, no defects. A very pretty piece.Putting it together was really easy. And they even included a bag of extra hardware! Enough so that if you had a bad problem with a cam lock you could add another (if you had the tools)Each hardware group was in its own bag. Totally organized. Even came with a hex wrench to tighten the last screws, All holes were accurately drilled and the right size.Only negative (tiny) is the directions were kind of hard to follow. But a bit of study and you can figure it out. The way it is made you really cannot do it wrong. And the hardware will only go into the correct places.And it is so pretty! The picture on Amazon does not do it justice. A nice mahogany finish. Done very skillfully.

I bought the same table from another site a few years ago to use as a coffee table in a small living room. I decided to start using it as a nightstand in the bedroom so I needed a matching one and was glad that Amazon had it available in the same color. It's a very nice and seemingly sturdy table - the other one is held up for several years now - but this one had some challenges with assembly. There are 6 cams and cam screws to attach the bottom shelf to the legs, and 3 of the cam screws - 2 on one side and 1 on the other - where I struggle to get in as they kept wanting to screw in at an angle, and 1 of them didn't even want to screw all the way down as it was supposed to. As a result, it was very difficult to line them up with the cam, and when I did get the cam into the hole and turned them, two of them fell out because they were not catching on the screw end. I managed to get two of the three of them attached, but the other one seems flimsy and may fall out. I don't intend to put a lot of weight on these shelves, so I'm not too concerned about it. The rest of it assembled fairly easily. Everything was packaged extremely well protected in transit, and they even included extras of all the hardware. I didn't need them, but that was nice to have just in case.

This is the 2nd table I've purchased within a week. The 1st arrived with an 8" crack from the edge of the top toward the center of the top. It also had wood putty in another area of the tabletop. I returned it for a replacement. Today, I received my replacement table, only to discover that the tabletop is bowed so badly that it's approximately 3/8" off. When placing the tabletop on a flat surface, it actually rocks! Needless, we're returning this table, as well. These tables were made in Vietnam and I have 2 beautiful bedroom sets in my home which were made in Vietnam and they are gorgeous and the workmanship is superior. I guess this company does not care about quality control.
