Classic Attack 747B Shira Kashi Oak Drumsticks, Oval Wood Tip, One Pair

I love these sticks. I used to play in marching band and I now play mostly pop and rock drums. I like these sticks because I am used to heavy and long sticks and these give me a similar feel to marching sticks. My other preferred sticks are VF Buddy Rich signatures. These promark sticks are heavy compared to other 5b type sticks and they are a bit top heavy. I am fine with that but it is not for everyone.A note about the wood, oak is a good wood for sticks. It is very durable and it has a different breaking pattern than hickory. In my experience oak sticks last longer before splintering and do not chip as easily. Overall great sticks; I would certainly recommend.

Used to use the 5B Japanese White Oak sticks, been using the promarks for as long as i can remember, and these have a 1mm smaller diameter than the sticks I used to use, and it's actually nice! They're also a TINY bit longer with gives me more comfort if the cymbals are a little farther away than I'd like.I cracked one of them on set and played through with the same stick, just to see what would happen. Barely felt any wobble, threw some duct tape on it and didnt notice a difference. I've tried this with other sizes of the white oak and haven't had that experience...great sticks! Hope I can get more...already ordered 2 more pairs but I'm hoping it's not a limited run... the PW747W line isn't as thin =\

These are some of the best sticks I've ever used. The weight is perfect for heavy hitters, or if your like me, a stick heavy enough to feel. The length is also perfect. I barely have to move my arms to hit the cymbals. Great all around. Seriously consider trying these out at least once. It's a stick you won't regret.

I like the long length and the durability of the oak is phenomenal. These are the perfect sticks for rock and roll, or any genre for that matter.

good stick, nice weight and feel, but too heavy for me. killed my rims! lol for an easy hitter who needs more weight to add some more volume/dynamics, this is your stick. id try it. Lasts a while too.
