Fantastic value for money
I wanted a PC to use as a video player in my lounge. This is perfect for the job. Even today a 6th Gen i5 is still quite a capable processor (Windows boots in seconds) and the overall HP build quality is excellent. Being SFF and matt black it looks quite smart next to my TV. Condition is almost like new, I assume these units spent their working life sitting on a desk in some office somewhere, but they still have a lot of life left in them. I have worked for companies that cycle out their computers on a 3 year basis and send perfectly good machines to the scrapheap, so I'm glad to be able to give this one a second life. Comes with win10 pro which is worth most of the purchase price on its own (I assume each unit originally came from HP with a digital license so the original purchaser absorbed that cost).Only things to watch out for: it tells me it doesn't support Windows 11 which to me is no great loss, I hate windows 11! Also as it comes this wouldn't be much of a gaming PC, although it does have slots for a graphics card if you wanted to fit one. Finally make sure you have Display Port cables as that is the only video output (2 of them) and actually shows how these machines were originally aimed at the professional market..

great little pc
My 13 year old pc blew up so i needed another fast. This is actually faster than my old one. However please note, THIS DOES NOT COME WITH A HDMI PORT. You need to buy a display port to hdmi adapter. With this the max resolution i believe is 1080p

This was amazing value as the product was brand new
I wanted this product to re house in a home media system and I priced the spares I needed for an upgrade when I I got to £240 I thought this was lots better for £99

Far better than I was expecting - almost a new PC!
Starting with box and delivery: On time and in a well packed and padded box, although not the actual box HP delivered it from the factory. No problem unless it is intended as a present. Power cable looked brand new with the plastic prong-protector cover still on it.Longtime and serious fan of HP computers. Historically no personal data disasters and came bundled with brand-own security and self-test functions. Not that modern computers actually need it. If hardware fails you know about it very quickly! My old HP machine was starting to show its age. An older (single core) processor and only 4GB of ram. Not quite cutting it in today's world - not without shutting things down between jobs. "Task Manager" showing the processor at "100 percent" on video processing and display alone.(This 16GB machine rarely gets to 50 percent - but please note I am not trying space-age high definition video or 3D rendering tools.)Not without fear and trepidation I went down Reconditioned Street. A little like buying a secondhand car without a short test drive. The obvious main attraction being a third of the price of a new bottom-of-the-range HP model. Which probably wouldn't perform a great deal better when it comes to my own personal needs. This machine boots quickly (no messing around setting it up - just opens in seconds) and lightning quick. Near silent in use. The case was clean and without a single mark. WIFI is in the form of a dongle. Make sure you find it and plug it in before boot-up. Sure to catch out a few younger people who think everything has WIFI built-in and always has.The only really negative thing I would say is that it is not actually that compact. Only slightly smaller than the last model I owned. Not that it is going anywhere. No onboard SD card reader either. HDMI is NOT available as standard - but that can be cured for extra cash. No problem for me as my monitor takes VGA and HDMI.(Sale conditions state that these "100 percent aesthetic conditions" I describe can't be guaranteed for every model sold).Continuing on the subject of dongles: No name or make and came in a small plastic bag. Found it to be just as good as my old (expensive) Netgear equipment. Naturally direct line in (via rear Ethernet socket) will give you the best possible connection. A small tip is to buy a USB extender cable so you can take the signal higher in the room - can add a bit of punch to your online speed. Not a gamer or user of high powered video editing software (and the like) but I guess it would probably be falling short in that department. The software I own and use runs very well - even the older software. Onboard DVD drive (last of the Mohicans) being a real plus.(Don't think you can upgrade this computer to Windows 11 - not quite enough spec - but don't quote me on that.)Totally satisfied customer in terms of price and performance. Serving all my (power modest) needs very well. If I had my wits about me I would have gone down this route a year or so ago rather than limp-on with my occasionally grinding and hanging older HP model. Really upped-my-game without spending a small fortune.

Windows 11 out of date
Unit works well and did update for a while , now with 22h2 win11 this has finished and will not be getting any security updates. So could be at risk when online.

Excellent purchase
Item were exactly as advertised and arrived on time, it did require new thermal paste and a dust clean but overall great condition

Rubbish
This came on time and worked fine for a week but 2 days ago it wouldn’t start so I messaged the seller and he completely ignored me. I am now going to ask Amazon for my money back.

Computer from 2015 faster then from 2024
There is tons of those used HP computers on the market, this computer has 6th generation Core i5-6500 processor. Which is approx 30% to 40% faster then new computer with 12th Generation N100 processor.I must admit, I was surprised how clean the PC was, and when you open it, you will find the same - spotlessly clean motherboard, CPU and fans. The only thing I will upgrade in it is a wifi card, as this was supplied with USB wifi stick and they are very bad unless you have your PC next to the router.I have installed PCIe wireless card to avoid issues with USB Wifi cards.USB wifi cards on Windows 10 and 11 might be swtitched off constantly by Windows to save power.Which is silly, and it will cause disconnection from the internet every few minutes, you will hate your PC for it not knowing that is actually Windows fault and simple upgrade to PCIe WiFi card will resolve this issue. When you buy a second hand PC make sure you get fairly modern CPU like this one.You can find out, which generation the CPU is by it's number for example Core i5-6500, it's 6th generation and i5 is a type of a processor. you have i3, i5 and i7.Core i5 is a mid range CPU but it offers loads of power, i7 is better in theory but they are usually expensive as there is fewer of them available on the second hand market.Processors like i7-2600 will be well slower as it's only 2nd generation CPU.And make sure you get PC with 16GB of ram, this will make even slower PC a bit faster.I hope this helps!
