Really cute first Christmas ornament
This ornament is really cute! Some people might complain that the clear plastic that protects the photo and hand/footprint should be glass but I like that it is plastic! It will last years to come and I don’t have to worry about it breaking or shattering. The one thing I would suggest is that the red paper inside be a little better quality. The paint made the thin paper ripple a little bit but it should be fine once it gets inserted into the ornament. This comes with 2 pieces of paper so if you use front and back you have 4 tries to get the perfect print. Also there is more than enough paint to try several times. The paint washed off my baby’s toes very easily. There is no paint brush included but I used one we had on hand to apply the paint to his foot. If not the instructions show to smear it into the hand and that looks to be way too messy. Overall great purchase and I’m happy that I bought it.

Use when younger
I am very much a sentimental person and really enjoyed doing this. I do recommend doing this when baby is sleeping, or younger. My at the time 6 month old did NOT want us to use his hand and we had to do the impression 4 times because he kept scrunching it into a mess. It did take a while to roll out and keep it thick enough to make an impression, I just kept cutting out the circle and taking the scraps in the middle and rolling it back out to try and get it as thick as possible

Good for the price.
Good little product for the price.PRO TIPs:1. Roll them out on something smooth and sturdy. I used a brand new children’s book. The molding material shows every little flaw of whatever you’re rolling it on.2. Make sure to do them at least a few days before you need to wrap them. They take a while to dry. Also, flip them over (after 2 days) once the front has dried to get the whole thing.3. Babies hands are almost impossible to imprint…go for the feet instead.

Cute but soft
I like this a lot but thought it would be more solid. The material remains soft, even when dry.

Super Easy and Cute
Loved doing this for my daughters first Christmas! It was super easy and mess free and a year later is in perfect condition. The one thing to know is that it doesn't really harden like rock solid it feels like semi dried playdoh but your imprint will stay!

Very Big Ornament, great value
I absolutely love having my babys footprint and picture on our tree for her first Christmas. It's a cherished foot print that I will keep forever. I found the instructions easy to use and all the supplies I needed were included. I must say that this ornament is huge. It's the biggest ornament on our tree by far but I think that is a good thing because that means that there is plenty of room for an older infants footprint to be taken. The plastic feels a little cheaply made I must say, but for the price and value of the item it can't be beat. Plus I'm not too worried about plastic feeling cheap when it's only purpose is to hang on a Christmas tree one month out of the year.

How would you take an impression in this without hurting an infant?
I've used one of these before (a different brand) for a dog—a tiny dog with itty bitty bones I was worried would break—and got a much better impression than I did for my infant. I pressed a foot and a hand as hard as I felt was safe, and rerolled the dough twice, but it was not deep and as it started to dry it almost disappeared. I obviously won't be gifting these to my parents as I'd hoped, and probably won't bother hanging on my own tree. Very disappointed.
