So far so good
It was bought to replace a full assembly unit that was bought locally that died after a week. So far it's lasted twice as long for 1/4 the price. I just had to do a little research on how to change out just the pump. It was well worth it for a much better part

always bosh only
Went thru 2 different brands (which failed), until I decided to re-use the OEM housing and replace the pump inside. Perfect fit for my 2002 Jeep Wrangler TJ.

only buy bosch
if your wrangler fuel pump is out and you cant get the full assembly buy this. Not hard to put it in your existing enclosure. If you dont buy a bosch your just gonna have to do it again in 6 months.

Died quickly, Brazilian pump?
Not as pictured...no blue cap. Took a while to gather parts needed to fix the fuel pump assembly on my 97 Jeep Wrangler...Mopar or Bosch complete pump assembly is no longer available. Using instructions from WranglerTJForum.com's resources page 4 I ordered this pump and a replacement sock. Everything installed perfectly. Pressure was spot on. Internal check valve was leaky... didn't hold pressure like it should resulting in hard starts. Died after three weeks and four short trips. Dropped the tank and reinstalled the original Bosch pump...which functioned but had a completely dead check valve.Would really like to find a quality source for these Bosch pumps. Not sure if I just got a lemon...but I waited too long gathering parts and waiting for a good weather window so I could not return.

Check for strainer type before ordering
The Jeep TJ fuel pump sits in a steel canister and it has a strainer that sits in there with it. The pump I received has a different style strainer that does not fit in the canister and will not work. I had to change them out and put the old strainer from the old pump on to get it to work. I thought the photo was probably just a file photo and not the actual item, but it is the actual item, with a different strainer. Aside from that it works as described.

2001 Jeep wrangler tj 4.0 fuel pump replacement
I purchased this fuel pump for my wrangler, since the complete assembly was discontinued by Bosch. I am not sure how long will it last, but I hope it is a better alternative to buying aftermarket assemblies. That, said, I had to purchase the Fuel pressure regulator separately, which was expected. What was not "expected" however, was that it came with the wrong strainer for the assembly and needs to be purchased from an other supplier. I purchased the Delphi strainer kit. I hope the entire fuel pump assembly rebuild is worth it and will last for 20 years like the old one did.

Jeep pump
This is exact fit, except the strainer is not the right part. I ordered the right part from napa is cheaper and is from bosch, part number BSH 68072. It replaces fs221 from airtex.
