White-Rodgers1F78-151 HVAC Programmable Thermostat

It comes as an Emerson thermostat, not a White Rogers but it was not difficult to install. The terminal board matched my old thermostats terminal board although the terminals were smaller and a little more difficult to install the wires. My old thermostat was working erratically and did not accurately reflect the true room temperature but the replacement worked fine and my AC ran flawlessly. I saved a good bit of money replacing this on my own. It came with an instruction booklet which will help those with limited knowledge.

Be sure to label or take a picture, as I did, of the original wiring on the old thermostat. The only issue I saw, is if there isn't enough wiring extending out of your wall.

i WOULD GIVE THIS ZERO STARS IF I COULD! I bought this to replace my thermostat in June. Worked the air conditioning. However, the first cold day when I tried to put the heat on the thermostat did not run the heating system. So I bought another one in November. I replaced the thermostat purchased in June and it also did not run the heating system. So I had to call in a professional to evaluate my heating system. There is nothing wrong with my heating system. The problem is with your thermostat units. It cost me $358 to have my system evaluated which is working just fine. The problem is your defective product! These thermostats should not be sold. They do not work. So not only did I have to pay for 2 thermostats at $32.10 each totaling $64.20, but an additional $358 for a grand total of $422.20 for a working thermostat. I will never buy Emerson products again and rest assured I will tell everyone I know the same thing

Bought as a direct replacement when the old one went bad after 12 years of use. I found it easy to wire. It works as it should.

We use 3 of these thermostats in our office/warehouse. The original one(s) lasted 8+ years with heavy usage. These are very easy to program and once programmed, they run flawlessly. I would definitely recommend this thermostat.
