Solar iboost buddy - Remote display for iboost+

Nice compact piece of equipment. Well made and easy to understand the workings. Like the fact that I can have the unit well away from its mother station and in my cast the mother station is up stairs so we can monitor and change from the conservatory. Keeps you informed of the energy usage.

This little item is by far the easiest to read especially when compared to the tech left by the solar company, i.e one in the airing cupboard and in the loft, not exactly handy and all more complicated to use. The app we were left with took the installers over 2 days to set up, even they couldn't understand it, it does the job but is beamed over from US and consequently not immediate. Now we can just check the easy to read traffic light system on this iBoost Buddy, Thoroughly recommend this.

This is quite pricey but I wouldn't be without it now, I can sit in my armchair and see where the power generated by my Solar array is going, and if need be make informed decisions. If it is being exported turn on some household appliances, like the dishwasher or the tumble dryer etc.

I was shocked to discover that it has to be plugged into a power socket to work! Why no rechargeable batteries? And why no WiFI?

This adds excellent understanding of where your power is going, in addition to the iboost. Really pleased with both products!

The display screen leaves a lot to be desired. When viewing head-on there is a lot of information that reveals itself on the lcd panel. Only when viewed from about 45 degrees, does the screen become fully readable with clarity. The supplier (Marlec in Corby) know of the problem but they have no plans to correct the problem. You have been warned!!

Works has it should

Just had solar PV fitted, complete with iBoost. This sits on the dresser, and we monitor it constantly to make the most of free power. Any surplus power is diverted to the hot water system, and this gadget shows us constantly how much we are using, how much we are saving. Brilliant device.
