Worker placement, card management, dice rolling fun
Wife and I enjoy playing this game. She kills me most of the time. Enjoy the aspect of creating/drafting/managing a personal "army" to raid and score points.

The perfect mid-level difficulty Euro (dice rolling) game out there?
As the title says.I loved everything about this game except for major randomness in dice rolling (but to be fair, the amount of dice rolling is relatively low, and pretty much this complain can be applied to all dice rolling based games), and the fact that the most active/utilized part of the (a relatively large) board is the top part, which makes it a bit uncomfortable because you are constantly reaching for game components that are far away.Despite my complains, Raiders of Scythia remains to be a fantastic game with amazing flavor and art; personally I would rather play this than Raiders of the North Sea with all expansions (which is a very good game, that I like to play).

Yet another great game by Shem...
This first "comment" is about my choices to rate features: Thickness? Sheerness? seriously? What are these options and does anyone really care if this game has "sheen" or not? Come on Amazon!!In any event, I am a big Shem supporter and own almost ALL of his games (notably the North Seas and West Kingdoms) and this was an easy pick up for me.Comments about this game being like a re-skin of Raiders of the North Sea are not wholly wrong, but this game is "out of the box" what Raiders has become after 2+ expansions. If you own one, you don't need the other, UNLESS you are a collector in some way (like myself) then of course this is a MUST have to add to the collection, and therefore hoping/waiting on the "sequels" to this newest series!

Excellent worker placement
Great production and a really well designed game. Solo is implemented in a simple system. Overall a fantastic package in one box. A lot of people like Raiders of the North Sea and question purchasing this game. For myself, I don't have RotNS, but to get what's in the Scythia box you have to buy two expansions in addition to the base Raiders game. So for $55 in Scythia, you get what costs $90-$100 in RotNS depending on where you can get it.If you like worker placement games, give this one a try.

Fight for plunder and victory points!
Great art and subtle adjustments make this new implementation of "Invaders of the north sea" a great game, as all Garphill Games I've played so far. Excellent production, nice feel and touch, and the usual huge amount of components in a relatively small box. Definitively worth of your time and money.

This game is a lot of fun and is fairly easy to learn. The art is great.

Great Game. Delivered Earlier than anticipated
Wish the Game Publisher had used a slightly larger box.

Very fun worker placement game with dice chucking!
We are big fans of worker placement games, so this fed that obsession perfectly. It's been compared to Raiders of the North Sea, but we have not played that. For this game, the combo of worker placement, building a team and raiding...it's just a fun yet deep game that is easily going to become a regular at our table.
