Simply perfect.
Wow, wow, and wow again. I have been playing drums for over 55 years, and double bass for the last 30 years. My old Tama pedals were great but lacked a long board and had very limited adjustment. This double pedal has a million ways to fine tune it and it is surgically smooth and controllable. These pedals eliminated the physical work I used to have to do, and because you can adjust the pedals and beater angel separately, it is a dream come true. No more settling for a 'middle ground' adjustment, now I can fine tune the pedals to 'exactly' the way I want them, and talk about ease of use and precision. I could go on about these pedals for two more hours, but I think you get the gist. Simply perfect in every regard. Nice engineering and work, you guys. Be warned, these take a little getting used to because they are so responsive, but once you get familiar with them, they will take you to a whole new level...I promise. I bought this and the single version because I use a double pedal on my left bass so I can use my heel on one of them and still control the hi hat, or go straight against the bass for harder songs where the pedal connects to the bass. I tried a bunch of pedals, some far more expensive, and this is the one I decided on. It far surpasses anything out there in my opinion. You won't be disappointed, and worth every penny.

Tremendously good pedal
I just replaced my DW-5000s with these Tama Speed Cobras and I'm thrilled. The build is extremely solid, and the fine level of adjustment possible is a blessing. Having the board height and beater angle effectively de-linked was a breakthrough. What was frustrating for me about the old pedals – they're not the newest model, and DW might have already addressed this issue – was that at any reasonable board height, the beater angle was such that I'd frequently hit myself in the foot with the beater, which was a real nuisance. These are almost *too* fast, and the first hour I spent playing I found my feet actually rushing. This isn't the sort of problem that, as a six-month drum novice who switched from playing guitar for the last 37 years, expects to have. If you're not a metal player, you might not love the beaters. They sound great, delivering just enough click, for metal, but I think I'll swap them out for felt beaters when playing other genres of music. All in all, a real delight.

PowerGliders Beware
If you’re used to the old Cobra PowerGlides, these will feel VERY different, unless you’re used to Longboard pedals. I tried tweaking these pedals for hours and still couldn’t get comfortable or reach the speed and precision of my 10 year old PowerGlides. Tama makes great sturdy pedals that will last a lifetime if kept up and maintenance here and there. I’ve been using double pedals for 12 years and I hated the feel of these pedals. I’m sure they’re good for some people but my PowerGlides are just as good if not better in my opinion. Shop around before spending $500 on these.

Smooth operator!
Love this pedal! Upgraded from iron cobra 600 which I did and still like, but this is on another level! Super smooth and adjustable not to mention powerful. Highly recommend!

Expensive, but worth it!
These drum pedals are expensive, but if you are serious about drumming they are worth every penny. They are good quality pedals, extremely responsive, and come with a solid carrying case which is a plus. For drummers that like to play fast, these pedals are perfect!!

Right pedal bottom is rusted and the paint is peeling out
Right pedal bottom part is rusted and the paint is peeling out of the steal surface. Not expected in a brand new first-class drum pedal. I was very disappointed to see all the paint peeling out and the rusted surface in this pedal that was supposed to be top-notch and brand new. Tried to process a refund but the store doesn't allow it.
