SHIMANOCRM81 XT M8000 1x Chainring

Upgraded my 1x11 to 12 speed with a suntour 12 speed HG freebody cassette and a Sram GX AXS derailleur. This chainring works just fine with a sram x01 12 speed chain and any other 12 speed sram chain. I suspect it will also work with 12 speed kmc and YBN and wipperman chains as well. Will not work with a 12 speed Shimano chain as the inner plates are different. Using this with a non boost 11 speed XT crankset offers a perfect 50ish mm chainline which does not come down from the largest 50t gear when backpedaling.

If you have a chain drop problem on your converted 1x, this is probably the fix. I put this on and have not dropped another chain. It also has great engagement and is nice and light. I definitely recommend this. I bolted this onto the Shimano FC-MT700 crank and it matches perfectly though you have to make some adjustments to chain-line with spacers depending on your situation.

worked perfect on XT M8000 XT double cranks where other 4 bolt 96bcd would not. This ring is specific to the newer XT cranks that have asymmetrical holes. 30 teeth grip well on my 1 x 9. no chain drop as of yet. worth the extra $ to get this one vs the cheaper ones available that prob wont fit.

Replaced from previous version SM-CRM80 (more deeper square shape type).Previous version looks cool, however worn chain out very quick. After replaced to this new, chain life is much longer also less noise. I can tell this CRM81 is better than previous CRM80!!
