They're plastic so they protect the chain. I expected a reasonable level of wear and tear and was not disappointed. Easy to spot when dropped. Very easy to use and the price was appropriate. The bag is nothing fancy, but gets the job done.

Good quality material. Sturdy and durable. Bright color helps keep track of them when cutting and cleaning up. The mesh bag provided is great for storage.

I've been cutting on a very large hickory tree, 3ft plus. I wanted some longer & thicker wedges. I've used 2 and 3 lb hammers to drive these in and they've held up very good. Years ago I watched a friend cutting a large tree trunk on the ground and was using metal wedges. Part way through he had to stop for fuel and put on a different chain. Chain was a brand new quality factory chain. He had just started to cut when the saw bucked up, hit the metal wedge and the chain broke. Fortunately he hit the brake and the chain stopped. This is why it's SMART to use CHEAP plastic wedges. Plastic wedges won't break chains and possibly cause serious injury. Again, I'll say, these are great for the price.

Don’t except for them to last long as they are plastic but holding up now

I got what I expected and for the price. There good wedges but get very rough with them they won’t last or hold up. They work fine if you get them placed before tree sets down and work fine for tilting it to fall. Don’t expect to raise a very large or heavy tree

I was really impressed with the variety of sizes, lightweight design, and storage bag for easy storage.Unfortunately, as the seller stated, these were made from ABS...."ABS plastic that is manufactured to become ultra-tough and strong". When I read this, my hope was that "ultra-tough and strong" meant that they added fiberglass or carbon fiber to the ABS, as regular ABS is just not meant for this type of application. From what I can tell, these were not induced with fiber, so the wedges took a lot of damage when smacking it with a sledgehammer. If you only have a few trees to fell, I would recommend using these. But, for larger projects where longevity is needed, go with metal.
