MUCH NEEDED UPGRADE WILL KEEP THE WII A SECOND LEASE OF LIFE
A well designed compact adaptor which did everything it was promised to do. I am really happy with the purchase and it worked straight out of the box. There are plenty or tutorials on you tube how to change the settings on you Wii, very easy to do. The price which may seam more expensive than some of the other units but to me was worth it as its just better quality product all round.

Works as it should
This was easy to setup and was quite amazed how well it worked with no lag on screen and sound was good too.Tried it on NFS, Tenpin bowling and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11.Very impressed.

Autoutlet Wii to HDMI adapter
Having replaced an older LCD TV with a newer smart model I needed a way to connect the Wii having discovered that most modern tv's no longer come with component video jacks to connect the Wii's RCA connectors. This did the job, easy to install via HDMI and when I tested it, it worked.

Stopped working after few days
After only few days of using the adapter started to display artefacts and the audio does not work anymore.

The product works very well.
Using the Wii's original component AV cables with an adaptor on a modern smart TV left a lot to be desired in the visual look of the game. This product offers a big improvement in game visuals though still not perfect it helps making games playable again at my eyes anyway.

Great way to get the highest quality image.
So basically if you don't have the component input on your TV ( the five colorful prongs) this adapter will work at your HDMI input just like the component cable would. After you plug in go to the Wii menu , then screen , and tv resolution, pick : EDTV OR HDTV (480P) , and back on the menu Widescreen settings, pick widescreen (16:9). Even tho the newer TV's are 720 and 1080 resolution, Wii only goes up to the 480p equivalent to the component cable. My TV is a 50" insignia and I had to go to the TV settings and pick "stretch image to fit screen" so I wouldn't have the big borders on the sides, but some TV's will do that adjustment automatically.
