Original Samsung BN59-01259B TV Remote Control (BN5901259B)

I like the design of the samsung remotes and these replacements work right out of the box with my smart tv. Pleased with the remote and the price, now just need my kids to stop losing the remotes.

When the metal remote that came with my TV stopped working, this guy fit the bill perfectly. The Start/Pause button is a feature on this remote that was missing on my previous remote—and it’s a surprisingly useful feature that I didn’t know I needed. Further, the ergonomic shape is very comfortable and intuitive.The ONLY potential complaint is that this remote is entirely black and the remote just disappears when the lights go off. If it’s not in my hand, it’s gone until the lights come back on. I’ll probably get a piece of luminous tape to resolve. Not a big deal, but it’s a real thing.

My Samsung Series 6 50" took to this remote without any set up involved. Remote has been missing for over two years and setting up new devices is a real headache without it so very happy to have it back. It doesn't come with the necessary batteries, as a heads up.

still working after a year, but it is IR so it is not as good as oem. battery however last a lot longer than oem.

Love this remote. Easy to work with your Samsung TV. No problem with it having to get it to work. Not flimsy.

I was a little skeptical of this remote after reading reviews but our other remote broke in half and I needed a replacement ASAP so I decided to try it. All I can say is BUY IT. It is made much better then the original one that came with our tv without some of the flaws it had but looks identical. I put batteries in, pointed it at the tv, and voila. Problem solved. Seemed rather expensive at $27 but I didn’t call Samsung to price out or see about a replacement so maybe it’s not that far off. It doesn’t seem to be a fake at all and seems heavier duty then the original one.

As others have mentioned, this is NOT a Samsung remote. It has a completely different feel to it. Indeed, it was difficult to open the back of the remote but, after several minutes of trying to pry it open, I successfully removed the back and inserted the batteries. I was able to turn on my tv using the remote. The volume button was stiff but at least it worked. The channel up/down button also was stiff and did not work. So, the remote does not allow me to change the channels or even bring up the TV guide. Bottom line: it is falsely advertised and not all of its functions work properly.
