Q: Is the cross and medallion actually bronze or just bronze tone?

In its description, it used the word 'bronze colored", so it may just refer to the hue or tone. Oklahoma rosaries may be able to answer your concerns in detail. As for me, I still continue to enjoy praying my jasper rosary. Thank you.

Based on the description by Oklahoma rosaries, the Madonna and the cross medallion are both bronze colored. However in the 2 years I have been using mine, the bronze color hasn't faded. The stones just kept getting more beautiful. Thank you.

Q: Two questions- does the crucifix have a nice weight? The face on the medal looks melted, not defined. Is that the way it is?

Mine has more weight to it than most, it is not heavier if that is what you are looking for but a solid light weight. The face on mine is defined nicely, eyes, nose, mouth, very recognizable. I bought mine maybe 4 years ago and for me, it's a very beautiful rosary. The back of the crucifix is lovely also. The whole crucifix is one of the nicer ones that I have seen.
