Lay flat hose
Good quality hose for pool draining. Definitely heavy duty, thick, reinforced. I bought the 100 ft roll. Haven’t noticed any leaks but I have no need to put it under pressure. Just connected to the pump and let er flow. Just made sure there were no kinks along the way.

Very portable and durable
I got this to use as a drain hose for the rv. The rv has a macerater and a smaller hose, but it’s too short to reach my sewer clean out. I hoped this hose would work, but it was difficult to make it work for my use. There’s not a lot of pressure from the pump, so the hose tends to stay flat or kink. I cut it shorter, since I didn’t need it to be 25’, with scissors, and tried again. It was better, but still a pain. Oh well. I’ll just get a regular hose. If you’re going to use this with a stronger pump, it’ll work great. Maybe just letting it lay out in the sun for a bit would help too. It’s a good hose and compact. Didn’t work for me, so I knocked it down a star, but will probably work for you.

Solved: No more bursting or leaking backwash hoses!
*** UPDATE: I've had this 5 years now, and still have no leaks. This thing just lasts and lasts. ***I got a new pool pump and filter during a remodel. Every other cheap blue backwash hose I bought would either burst from the pressure or get pinholes in it immediately. I finally decided to quit messing around and get this - boy I'm glad I did! This hose is TOUGH. I attached some PVC removable pipe couplers to each end and did a little extra plumbing off the backwash outlet on my filter so it would discharge out at ground level. Then, I screw on my coupler with the hose, run it 100 feet from my back yard to the sewer cleanup in the front in a nice arching curve so there's no kinks. This hose can take the pressure, and it doesn't get any holes from dragging it across the crushed granite rocks. When I'm done, I take a big plastic tub and lay it back and forth in it (think how a fire hose lays in a fire truck) and then put the lid on it, which blocks the smell. (It does smell!)

Layflat hoses are the best
I use these hoses on my trash pump for when I need to move large quantities of water. The layflat hoses have a design that allows them to take up very little space, but yet give you lots of length. The coating of the hose works in any weather that is above freezing. I cannot recommend that you use these hoses below freezing as the liner material might become brittle and crack. I now have over 250 feet of layflat hose, and I keep buying more as I find them on sale.

Reordering after 6 years
Costs more and worth every penny. This is a very heavy duty hose. I live in Arizona and the sun and cactus spines are tough on my pool backwash hose. I went for the cheapest one last time and it did not last at all. I have not had this very long, but I'm very confident it will last for a good number of years.Update Nov. 2019: I just happened across this old order and thought I would update this review. I've had the hose for 4 years now. I used to roll it up and at least semi-protect when not actively using it for backwashing, but I've gotten lazy and it has been in the Arizona sun for the last couple of years. It is still doing fine and I still completely recommend it.Update October 2021: I just ordered a new hose. The 6 year old stuff is starting to leak. Like I say above, I got lazy a number of years ago and it has been abused in the Arizona sun. Great hose. I just hope the new one is same as the old. I'll update if it is not.

Not very good under pressure
Water started seeping on the end by the clamps, hose had a bubble in one layer after 2nd use.

Usage and Storage
This is a good quality hose. But it does not come on a spool. This makes it very difficult to lay out and almost impossible to roll up. I had to buy flanges and a core to assemble a spool to roll it up. I purchased the spool products from McMaster Carr. Get the biggest flanges they offer (28"). McMaster also sells the plastic 2" union required to put more than one hose together.
