Love it, has made me a seltzer drinker
This thing is dead simple and works great. It requires no power source and has a pretty small footprint. I have never been much of a seltzer drinker, but now I pretty much exclusively drink highly carbonated, unflavored water.Funny thing is, I bought this for my significant other. She is a seltzer addict, and likes this just fine. She enjoys the serious concentration of bubbles you get with this. I did not expect to get in on the action, but here I am.I really have no issues with this, after a year. It makes really fizzy water, and the water stays fizzy for hours in the bottle with the cap closed. It takes seconds to make. Two two-second pushes of the button and you are good.Do yourself a favor, and buy a CO2 tank (like this - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IE1DJ2I) and get it refilled at a place that does home brewing, or a commercial beverage supplier. Look around online and see what's in your area, before buying a tank, of course, but if there is anything around, do it. You will save a lot of money versus doing the exchange on the little cartridge that comes with it. If you decided to go this route, the only other thing you need is an adapter (like this - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CP96GL76) to go between the cartridge and tank. Look for videos on YouTube. It might seem scary, but it's really no big deal, in my experience. The tank has already paid for itself, no question. I fill it for $20.Drinkmate will only let you send back at least two empty cartridges. This comes with one, which would mean you have to buy a second to send back and get a $20 "coupon" to use on buying more cartridges, which start at $60 for two (before "coupon") plus shipping and tax. It's not hard to figure out that buying your own tank is the way to go, if you can swing it.You should probably also buy more beverage bottles, unless you live alone or only one person will use it. Keep in mind they expire, so don't buy them just to buy. The expiration maybe seems dumb, but I do suppose that constant pressurizing takes a toll on the plastic.

Best soda maker ever
Actually does a better job than SodaStream, which I had for years, till it broke. I like the level of fizziness in the DrinkMate better. The SodaStream CO2 cartridges work perfectly, but keep in mind that the SodaStream bottles do not fit the DrinkMate. This is a beautiful, deep shade of red, not orange-y.

Does a great job fizzing drinks
I’ve been buying a lot of seltzer water and decided to try this. I’m extremely happy, I get great fizz with a coupe of pumps. I’ll see how long a tank lasts to determine if this saves any money for me, but it definitely gives me more convenience. Also, love the Aqua color!!

Makes very fizzy drinks - but the canister does like to vibrate loose
I've had the older competitor product for over a decade; the OmniFizz solves one of my biggest gripes about the original design: you can agitate the drink mixture at FULL PRESSURE to ensure maximum CO₂ dissolves into the drink. It also solves the issue of re-carbonating flat soda; that is, you didn't finish the bottle, so you put it in the fridge for the next day -- but then you forgot about it until a few days later -- to which the drink is now mostly flat. No problem! Just re-fizz it, shake it, release it, and drink. Perfect!I would give this 5 stars, but as many other reviews have noted: the CO₂ canister does have a habit of unscrewing itself occasionally; this isn't a problem (just tighten it back up) but when it happens, it's a bit surprising (loud expulsion of gas and the button behaves very oddly). Easy fix: check the canister and tighten it back up -- Good as new!

FYI: Bottle Has an Expiration Date
I make club soda in the Drinkmate OmniFizz Sparkling Water and Soda Maker to make fizzy lemonade mint drinks or cocktails. I cannot drink regular soda (high fructose corn syrup) or "Zero" sodas (weird taste an hour later for hours and hours), so I 'make my own' with this soda maker. I love the density and quality of the bubbles and the no-taste taste!I bought the Drinkmate in June 2023. Now in January 2025 (19 months), I recently noticed that the plastic bottle expires in March 2025. So, the bottle last about 2 years from the date of manufacture. Replacement bottles are currently $15.39 for 2. So, my cost of bottles will be about $7.50 a year. That's not bad, but I don't like throwing away even 2 plastic bottles every 2 years.Overall, I like it and would buy it again. Hoping it will last many years.

Won't make it a year.
This is my second Drinkmate. I bought the first in January 2023 and FELL IN LOVE! It does exactly what it says it does and when it works it's fantastic.Unfortunately, by December the little needle dealie in the upper chamber that connects to the needle in the diffuser will not come out anymore. I followed the instructions on the site to fix it, but it broke the stupid thing instead.Devastated, I ordered another. Mad because at $100 pop, plus gas, plus flavor, it's no longer even CLOSE to cost effective. In fact, if you have to replace the thing every year, it winds up costing 3x as much as generic soda by the 2 liter.I've loved my new one for 13 months. For the last few weeks it's been tougher and tougher to the get the needle in the unit to come out and connect with the diffuser. Last night, I went through all the troubleshooting steps again. Seemed to work okay. Still hard to get it, but it went. This afternoon? We're right back where we started. If the thing is only going to last a year, I'm going to try a different brand. I'm out WAY, WAY too much cash to do this again.NO HELP FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!DO NOT RECOMMEND!
