I Turned my Car into a Backup Power Generator.
I installed this originally to power a laptop in the car, but this week after Hurricane Helene, the power was out for 4 days. THIS INVERTER saved me. At first I used it to run an icemaker for the coolers, then I used it to run the coffee pot all of which are labelled 1500 watts. Then I thought I should just plug-in my 4 door Samsung refrigerator, and it ran it NO problem. My car is a tiny 2015 Hybrid so the car starts up for about 1 minute every 30 minutes to charge the battery. This one arrived today and is my second one which I'm running a small window air conditioner so we can sleep at night in this summer heat. For those of you who don't already know EVERY electrical device says the power usage on it somewhere, either in Watts or in Volt and Amps (amps x volt = watts). This should help you determine your power consumption. Also this one is STAYS ON all the time unless you turn the switch off so be aware that it can drain your battery of you forget about it and turn off your vehicle. They sell a remote if you want to get that and leave it up front to help remember to shut it off.

Works like a charm!
Used this with 3 gauge Anderson connectors to connect to truck battery in order to run a 1/3 horse power submersible water pump. Worked like a charm. Simple to use. I contacted Energizer to make sure it would operate using Anderson connector and I received a prompt response. Highly recommend this Energizer power inverter.

Great packaging, heavy (wouldn’t start my A/C unit)
(2000watt unit). Just recieved. Impressed with weight & rugged build. Can’t wait to hook it up and try it out. It’s the 2000w, and my max pull will be 1250w, so hoping it will do fine. Stay tuned 👍**UPDATE . Hooked directly To my 12v car battery (bolted VERY Securely/tightly). Would not start my 850watt A/C window unit. (With or without car running) Would run it on the “fan only “ setting, but when flipping to “low cool” it shut down and just started flashing/beeping. Tried several times to insure a GOOD connection. This one WILL NOT Power Up a small 5000btu window unit 😕

Dead on Arrival
Unit did not work out of the box. Connected it to good DC power source and unit immediately produced an Overload (F05) Alarm with no AC load. Contacted support and they ran me through a basic procedure of disconnected it turning it on to discharge residual power and reconnecting but this had no effect. They offered warranty service but not worth the hassle on a brand new product.Additionally, filling out the warranty registration on their web site for an additional 6 months of coverage doesn't have this model listed and produces an error when the form is filled out.
