this most be the worst tripod I have ever purchased.
first this arrived with the box opened and not been put back the correct way.it looks to be a returned item .2. it will not hold the weight of my olympus em-ix.3 the catches do not tighten up.4 camera fell off the tripod even after tightening the base plate.5 very disappointed with this item but more disapointed that its looks like its second hand.6.will be returning this time and will look for a better quality tripod and maybe one that is not second hand

Keeps coming unscrewed
I have used this a couple of times now. Generally it's pretty good. The camera moves a bit when you take your hand off and / or lock it, but apparently that's a fairly common bit of the trade off to get a lightweight travel tripod. Especially one so cheap. What I cannot accept though is that part of the head keeps unscrewing (pictured). I've had to add an allen key to the kit that I carry around with me. It can be as bad as every couple of shots having to take the camera off to tighten the bolt.

Great stability particularly for shooting horizontally

Love it!
I have been using this tripod for several days now, in this time I have gotten a good understanding of the features of this tripod and its strengths. I live in Alberta and got this mainly for using it while hiking to capture scenic landscapes for the upcoming summer. I am thinking about using this as a tripod for a side photography business and I wanted to invest in a good quality tripod which would last me several years. I chose the aluminum material since it is lightweight and it will be easy to carry this while hiking/camping. This one also comes in a handy bag which protects the tripod while it is not being used. While using this tripod I immediately noticed how stable the tripod felt with my heavy DSLR on it, this is very important as I need this to achieve professional quality photos which are not blurry, which can ruin the image altogether. The adjustable knobs and legs are user-friendly and well made. The ball of the head is great quality and was useful for videography purposes. The price point of this is decent as I wanted to get a tripod that was great quality as opposed to something cheap which would only last me a short time. Overall satisfied with my purchase and would recommend to budding photographers/videographers.

Overall good for the money, but...
I am updating this review and will add some pictures soon as the more I use it, the less I like it and wish I never bought it. I will leave my initial review and impressions below, but I no longer endorse those. I am really disappointed.//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////Short version: All the complaints of a cheap tripod with some of the good of a more expensive tripod. Better than cheap, but still will be annoying for those certain things./Simply put, this is the best tripod I have used in this price range. If you are looking for a tripod in this price range and are wondering "should I get this one or a different one", then I would easily recommend this one to you. For the price, it is sturdy, light enough to be portable, and has some good features (taking one leg off for a mono-pod, for example).I do have some complaints however. I find that the bolt that screws into the camera loosens far too easily, as I have not experienced that before with other plates. And the little adjustment knobs are easy to get mixed up from time to time. You sometimes loosen then QR plate when you what to loosen the ball head, and are sometimes it is a pain to control. Having something closer to a lever/arm would have been better. There is also a fair amount of play even when all the knobs are tightened. Because of this, it is difficult to get a very tight shot such as far away shots and macro work. It's not impossible, but there are issues that certainly make this feel like a cheap trips. But with the few pros, for the price it isn't too bad.
