It really works
This thing was great, saves a ton of time when it comes to cleanup. It wont get everything but the majority of scrapings go down the tube. Blade is sharp, overall rugged tool, its a great tool to gave for remodel work on old houses, awesome

Gets the job done.
High quality replacement blade for the Hyde scraper. I've used lots of scrapers in the past and this one is my favorite for durability and precision. I have lots of painted wood work in my craftsman home and this has helped me both strip it for finishing or scrape to prep for paint.Due to the nature of the metal used, these are very brittle and will most likely break if you drop your tool or chip if you scrap a nail head. Work with caution and they will last a long time (I always buy several of these just in case).

Muy útiles para remover pintura vieja.
Estás navajas funcionan bien para remover pintura vieja de la paredes. Tiene que ser instaladas en un instrumento para usarse manualmente.

Good blade, but dulls quickly. Expensive.
I own three Hyde scrapers, the 2 1/2" and 2" straight scrapers, and the molding scraper that comes with multiple contour scraper blades (teardrop, etc.). I love the scrapers, but the carbide blades seem to dull too quickly (considering they're carbide), and the blades are expensive to replace. The 2 1/2" blades I purchased from Amazon 9 months were $6.22. Now they're $7.97. That's pretty steep increase IMO. If you do a lot of scraping, I recommend shopping around for a better price.

Good Scraper Blade
Amazon was actually the only place I could find the blade. I checked Home Depot and Lowes because one of them is where I bought the scraper originally. Neither had it. I then went to Amazon like I do for almost everything and sure enough, they had it. It is the actual brand of my scraper and it fits like it should. Haven't used it yet because the original is still good. I just needed a back up.

Hyde Carbide Scraper
The Hyde carbide scraper is well worth the extra money over the carbon metal type scrapers, as it lasts and lasts. Its easy to use and speeds up the work.

These blades, and the Hyde scraper they're made for, do a great job. Lasted far longer than a plain carbon steel scraper (different brand) for scraping old vinyl tile adhesive off our concrete laundry room floor.
