Amazing quality and storyline
All my friends watched the show but I stuck to the book. Amazing read and cheaper than in bookstores. Luckily it is not pirated.

There's definitely better YA out there
Spoilers ahead:Okay, first of all why the hell did Belly pick the wrong guy? Jeremiah omg! What a cutie? Such a nice, genuine, fun guy with seemingly no hangups. Couldn't she just like him back?! Conrad was just a sulky, broody, moody teen who didn't even come across as that hot. Plus, he constantly treats her badly. There's not even a hint of budding romance, barely a sweet moment, nothing. And don't even get me started on her whining and the complaining. No wonder the boys didn't want you around while you were growing up. But towards the end when Susannah is dying, I cannot deny I had teary eyes. Yes, I saw it coming. Yes, I fully expected it. What can I say? I love a good tear jerker. But I also love happily ever afters so this impending death didn't add to the underwhelmingly short list of pros about this book. I also wanted to know more about Belly's mom and their relationship. It just seemed like there was a lot more untouched depth there that just never surfaced. I only picked this up coz I loved the first To All The Boys movie but this was a major letdown. I would have given it 2 stars but that extra one is coz no matter how many cons this book had, it's got me invested and that just might make me pick up the next book. Just. Might.

Optimism
It's optimistic. What can I say? I thought I loved dark romances like Hunting Adeline or something to read but Nope. I still love romances. I still love light hearted rom-coms. I hate to say it that I hadn't known about the trilogy until I came across the show on Prime. Though I'd heard about The Summer I Turned Pretty a couple times before, I thought it'd be too cheesy for me. But again Nope. I love it. Contradicting my movies and TV shows watchlist of horror, thrillers and documentaries of serial killers, my TBR list is mostly filled with rom-coms. And lastly, I love Jenny Han for creating this. Not only I love Gay Romances, now I love straight ones too.
