Really wide range, just unstable enough to work but keep you goovin!!
Works well to take some of the weight off my feet on my standing desk, and I am really tall. I also goes low enough for sitting. It's light and can be easily moved. The seat is well contoured. It flexes enough to be a great chair for listening to or even playing music cause you can groove into it a little while sitting. Everyone who tries it for short time is not sure, but with some adaptation, I think you can learn to love it.

Decent but could use improvement to design.
The fabric is slick. So it is hard to use with certain types of cloths. I like it for what it is. Be aware it can tip over easy if you use it improperly.

Watch out -buyer beware
I used this chair four or five days before the seat literally broke off the stand, at which point I fell onto the post sideways, then to the floor, and ended up with a wicked bruise on my flank. Great idea and worked perfectly for the first few days but obviously a problem with the design and or materials. FYI, I am of normal weight and the chair was put together properly. Word to the wise - be very careful if you buy this chair as there was absolutely no warning - just cracked plastic at the bolt without warning while using. I will try to find the manufacturer for a return but of course easier said then done after the packaging is gone and one has used it for a few days.

Too high for short individuals
I bought this after looking over a few different options and price points. I'm 5'3" and the seat at its lowest point is too high for me so i find myself sitting at the very front of the seatwhich becomes uncomfortable. I wish I could drop down just a smidgen lower and I feel it could be ok. The base does not tilt like some of the other seats out there.I do feel it does help me sit up straighter but find myself not using it as much as I would if it fit right.

Can't sit, nor lean comfortably
This chair is too wobbly for sitting in the low position (too high for a regular desk height, btw.) and gets pushed back all the time when leaning against at a higher raise. The only more or less tolerable position is when putting your thigh on it standing firmly on the floor with the other leg. The chair tends sliding off from under you when you are not actively making an effort to stay on.

I love this perch stool
I love this perch stool. It is so nice to have a reliable stool to relieve my legs and feet throughout my long baking days.

amazon saved the day.
First one I ordered was damaged. It was previously used and the metal support inside the base was warped and a supporting screw was stripped clean. It was suppose to be a new item. I notified amazon, and they were able to ship me a replacement. It was new as advertised and has no issues. I think it was a mixup with the Hon Company as the order was dispatched from there. Must have sent me a previously returned item.Very good for the price. I can't imagine spending $800 for some other stools out there. It's just a stool. Goes well with my standup desk and is helping my upper back. Just remember to make sure your hips have a forward tilt so that there is a natural arc to your lower back.

Very happy with this purchase
New to standing desks. Sitting was killing me. I went looking for a 'leaning stool' and found this and love it. Up and down works great - you do need to sit on it to get it down. I'm 5'8" and 155lbs and it is perfect. Lightweight to move out of the way.Only think is it squeaks as my coworkers tell me. When I have the headphones on and listening to music I guess I'm moving around and it squeaks.I'm thinking some silicon spray may help.
