Well thought out product design with multiple install options. Very bright when you need it to be, but also great low light.

Attach an app view FYR. Really love it. It’s easy to install and use the app to control brightness and color. It’s better for our eyes( previous living room light from builder, I have to say, is a piece of garage)

I purchased these to replace the outdated flush mounts in my place. I can’t speak to the installation process because I paid to have them installed along with several other fixtures in the house. But they look great (I don’t agree with other reviews that say they look cheap or flimsy. That just doesn’t appear to be the case) and the range of color and brightness is awesome. I will be purchasing another two for another hallway in my house.

Bought a couple of these to replace the old boob lights in our hallway. The install was easy enough – although it would’ve been nice if the lights came with screws & anchors to mount to the ceiling. The washers come in a small package and it’s unclear what they’re for. Once the lights are installed they easily connect to your Hue system. I do wish they were a little more flush to the ceiling (they hang down about a half-inch and you can see the mounting hardware from a distance). Overall, nice upgrade from the old boob lights.

Love love love this- easy install, great light- works well on bridge. Rub n buff gold leaf on the side is the perfect touch.

The Datura is not my first Philips product by far and this light is another high quality product as is expected with this manufacturer. It is a very large, but stylish disc at 22.60” diameter but very slim at 2.5” so it fits very close to the ceilingInstallation is easy and fastens to the ceiling with a backing plate and the light hooks to that and then swings into place easily with one person. Electrical connections are typical. There are also safety cables to keep the light from falling when installing and/or working on the light.I installed and tested the light on a 10’ ceiling in a walk-in pantry with light paint and the app setup and testing was over Bluetooth. I'm the first to admit I have several reviews where I have to mention my inability to judge dimensions and overall size. But this was one of my biggest surprises yet.Looking at the product photos, it appears to fit much better on the ceiling and the room overall. But this thing is ENORMOUS and I'm struggling to find a place to hang it. Based on the photos, I was expecting to replace this in one of our kids' bathroom ceilings, largely to have the ability to adjust light for night and day uses.When this box arrived, I thought they were just packing it safely and the light itself would be tiny compared to the packaging. Nope, this thing is just about as expected by the size of the box - 23 inches as stated.Given this is a Philips branded item, product build and light output is fantastic. All the quality I expected and reflected in the money spent. You're going to be paying up to get a top of the line product you can count on.Getting this unit in place was super easy. I tried it out temporarily on another light in our laundry room. It put out great light and making adjustments was super easy. I'm not thrilled to have an app for just one light currently, but it worked well and the light responded seamlessly.Overall, would definitely recommend! Just make sure you realize how big a 23" light really is (entirely my fault)!

First off for those who are unfamiliar with electrical work and installing light fixtures, I'd always recommend having a licensed professional take care of things for you.So this is probably the most expensive Philips Hue product we've used and the quality has not disappointed. After a pretty straight forward installation and replacing an existing fixture at the center of our room, the setup was just like any other Hue device we've had. The main light is plenty bright enough for our room/office without any harshness or flickering. The light is diffused well for office/bedroom use. The ambient lighting above is so cool. We have different scenes set up for work, gaming and meditation... so having that additional light above has been such a fun and classy touch. The colors match up with our lighting strips and TV lights. Dimming is nice and gradual too.We'd love to get more of these at some point for other spaces in our room, but I'd say these are best for small/medium sized rooms (10x10 or 12x12 or so) to get full lighting.
