I used this with another pouring liquid at the same time - this was far better as a pouring liquid and mixed well with the acrylic paints - i would not recommend mixing two different brands as it can cause curdling. This is a great product for projects - dont under estimate how much you will need.

Liquitex have a great range of mediums suited to acrylic paint for ultimate effects in your creations but I’m not advanced as some other artists that use it frequently for pouring layers of acrylic, there’s some amazing instagram and YouTube videos of its sheer purpose and range of techniques to achieve certain pouting styles.I advise you practice before final execution for beginners.Where gloves and ensure you use this product In studio environment or workshop, last thing you need is this on you’re carpet, clothes and so on. Liquitex do good product and always a safe bet. This is no exception, you can mix away and get your desired consistency knowing the results will be excellent . I highly recommend.

This does make your paint go a lot further without compromising on colour and gives it a beautiful glossy finish. However I wanted to produce cells in acrylic pours which didn’t work. After watching and reading a lot more about information about this subject I did discover that Liquitex is unlikely to make cells, so don’t get it if that is your specific reason for purchasing. Still a great product apart from that.

I have started trialling various mediums for thinning good quality acrylic paints, and this medium works very well, mixes well and you do not lose any vibrancy when mixing paints direct from the tube. Obviously, thinning colours will create more of a glazed effect, making your paints less opaque. a little goes a long way though!

Helps to make the paint go further without diluting it down. If you're using it for acrylic pour painting, I do find you need to use a lot of it, so it's quite pricey for what it is.
