We needed a swing door at the top of out stairs to stop the cats going into my craft rooms and the bedrooms, as one of them had an unfortunate "wee on everything that looks interesting" problem. She's pretty stealthy too, so we could never catch her before she did the deed. Anyway, the door works great. The hinges are easy to fit and work a treat. Nice and strong.

Smashing they work a treat, used for making a swinging dog door for my 2 Newfoundland dogs and stainless to boot.I set them up to a firm push as this garden door \ gate is open to the wind and they keep it in place nicely, but my two LARGE dog have no problems opening it.DONT FORGET you will need to order 2 lots if you are making a set of café doors, if you are just fitting them to one door then your fine with one set,

Big and solid hinges. They’re probably not the highest quality steel, etc but they look great once fitted and do the job fine. Supplied sprung closed so using the included little metal bar was able to easily move the little lugs a few holes around to release the pressure. Insert the bar into a convenient hole rotate and take the pressure while removing the little lug from it’s hole and placing it in another. The further around you go the less or greater pressure the spring exerts. Simple. Took them out completely for fitting - don’t loose them.

The hinges are not heavy duty at all, designed for light door. I was in a position to compare these hinges with an existing set, one of which has failed and needed replaced. I couldn't get the tension set to the same as the existing hinge, on attempt one the first hinge broke. Don't get me wrong, these hinges work and will easily cope with a hollow core door or something equally light. I was working with a solid oak door and they weren't up to it.

These hinges have quite large spring housings and if a close door to frame fitting is required, as I needed, then a lot of shaping to the door and frame is required. The centre flange is not quite wide enough to take a standard indoor door so reshaping of the door is required. However once fitted and adjusted as per supplied instructions these hinges have proved excellent. Nice action both ways with plenty of spring power to centralize the door. The finish of the hinges is brushed and they seem well made.

Bought four of these for shed doors. I've not even put the cladding on the 2"x2" door frame and with just a little extra weight by hand the upper hinge unhinges by around 2cm, so the door doesn't hang or hinge vertically, with less than a 5kg door weight!!?Not suitable for advertised use at all. For me, a complete waste of money and time.Update: One's just made an almighty clunk and the spring's broke!
