So quiet you'd suspect it wasn't running.
I thought I was tempting fate continuing to run a 2009 vintage hard drive 24x7 in an old Toshiba RS-TX20 TIVO. This drive was the perfect QUIET replacement once I added an additional SATA to IDE adapter. Works perfectly.

Quiet reliable runs forever
Used this Drive for the past 10 years in my Zodo 16 Channel DVR. Never had a problem still works beautifully hold a couple months a video with four cameras Western digital are the best hard drives made in my opinion And I was a network administrator for 13 years and use nothing but western digital

DOA and returns exempted
I received it a month ago and promptly found out it was DOA. It is exempted from Amazon's normally-good return policy so I have been fighting them for a while. Western Digital is notoriously bad when it comes to handling these things too. So I may end up having to eat the cost of this drive to buy a new one, and it WILL NOT be from Amazon here.Edit: Finally got a rep who let me return it this time around. Fourth time's the charm I guess.
