SHW 28" Over Desk Height Adjustable Standing Desk, Black

Received in good condition. It was perfect, but I used a jigsaw and trimmed the rear corners down a few inches, so it would fit on my existing desk when I lower it.I also traded my wired mouse for a wireless mouse. Much easier when you lift and lower the desktop.

I found the surface big enough for activities- you can easily fit a full size keyboard, screen and mouse on the surface. In fact the screen in the picture is 32in. The surface still lifted easily with the weight, in fact it lifts easily but is a bit harder to lower the first few times until it is "broken in" I guess. Not so much weight I felt like my kid couldn't use it, but a bit of weight none-the-less. I will probably mount the screen to it for ease a measure of safety, but it doesn't rocket up and down so quickly that the mouse will go flying or anything.The one I reviewed was the second I received, the first was damaged in shipping. It was replaced quickly and easily, but I'd take care if you transport it yourself- it seems to prefer to travel flat or on its back or front rather than the left or right side (when facing it). There are two support rods that can sheer the particle board if the bottom part were to shake too much.

I bought this adjustable standing desk to relieve my back pain when doing computer work. When I opened the package, the product seemed okay. However, I soon realized that I could only adjust it up, but not down. Once I got it to its highest height it would not move at all. The product was clearly defective and, in going back to Amazon reviews, I realized that others were having the same issue.I contacted Amazon for a refund and they said they would give me one if I returned the standing desk. However, now that the desk is stuck in the "up" position, it is impossible to fit in the box it came in. In addition, it is too big and heavy to carry to an Amazon return location to get a new box. I'm not sure anyone would be able to carry it, let alone me with existing back issues.The product is not bad, just defective, so 1 star for the product. However, 0 stars for Amazon for only refunding this if I am able to bring it to the appropriate location considering the specific issue I am having with the product.

I'm very glad this was already assembled! It's sturdy as well. The lever to raise the platform works well, it's a little hard to lower the platform to a sitting level. But good value for the price point.

The first one I ordered came damaged - shipped it back the day after I opened it and realized it was broken and had the replacement the next day! I like how easy this is to use... after putting it on your work surface, you just use the lever on the side to raise it up. I hold the sides a little while raising it so it doesn't go up too fast (just a little worried with the monitors on it)... if you release the lever while partway up, you can control the height too - it's not just a lowered or raised thing. When lowering, you use the same lever... just have to push the sides down while holding the lever. Doesn't just fall - you do have to use some oomph... but that also means your monitors don't go airborne! Really happy I chose this for the simplicity etc.

Perfect for a desk with a walking pad

I returned this standing desk mostly because it is about 5" tall when collapsed. I also did not think it was very stable considering the narrow lifting arm. Add to that I felt the release/catch system was not particularly easy to use or feel truly secure. Given all of the above I cannot recommend the SHW 28" standing desk.

I was looking for a way to stand using my current desk, this helped me accomplish that. It’s sturdy and it folds flat enough that I can store it under the bed. It’s also pretty large, so I can fit my laptop and a monitor on it which is great.
