James & Co FragranceNo. 1 White Pot Pourri

I like to keep a light scent in my spare room, and this has done the job nicely. It has a pleasant scent that isn't overpowering, and the bag is quite big, so you get bang for your buck. My only criticism is that it doesn't have the best visual appeal. It has large chunks of what I think are coconut shells, which take up quite a lot of space. If they were even in smaller chunks, it would look nicer

I am not one to consider pot pourri as it seems a little old fashioned, but it may be time for a comeback. I always found that it smelled too strong begin with and this cannot be said of 'James & Co Fragrance No. 1 White Pot Pourri'. It is a lighter smell. This means that it will not work to mask heavy smells but will provide a waft of pleasantness. For a sitting room, rather than the kitchen.The bag is large and comes up mostly of coconut shell and some features pieces. To get the most from the pot pourri you will need to design it and that means getting it on your hands. The scent does come off when you wash your hands well. I do not think that my mind is changed by this example of pot pourri, but it certainly smells nicer and looks better than I feared.

Bag was tied up with a ribbon and nothing else so the bag wasn't fully sealed, and almost all the scent is gone. You have to put it right up to your face and breathe deep to get any hint of it.I understand it's made up of natural product, primarily coconut husk in this bag, but it's still quite tatty looking, lots of shedding and flakey bits. The flowers are plastic and the painted items are done very roughly.Looks reasonable in a bowl on the windowsill (just had to pick through and get the least tatty looking pieces and arrange them) but hasn't added any scent to the small room it's in.£15.99 at time of review. Too expensive for what was received and low quality, I wouldn't get this again.
